Great pic! I had no idea how slender their bills were?!

For anyone who's never seen them in action, I took this short video on St. Pete Beach in 2020...

A nice tribute to Mr. Betts!

I was sad to hear of his passing.

  4. @Jgbird If you have #Hummingbird #feeders, remember to regularly thaw and warm them so the birds can eat.

Temperature ranges are 10F-25F here in #Seattle until Tuesday.

  5. @Jgbird You can totally tell they are Royalty by the walk. Plus that one on the left called me a guttersnipe.

Lot of rain and wet trees where I am, woodpeckers, I hope are about but unheard. New variety of woodpecker for constant acid rain, the silent woodpecker … Is acid rain, with high levels of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to dissolve, still a thing?

    Anyways … thanks for pic

  12. Hello world ,
Donations have become very low, and my family still desperately needs help. 💔
I’m sorry for asking again, but our suffering has not ended yet.

In these blessed days, your support — even something small — can bring hope, food, and relief to my children. 🫂

  17. It was pretty cool to see how the birding tour industry caters to people of different backgrounds, age, interest level, and budget. I went independently, but there are fully guided tours, bird-focused lodging arrangements, and many other options. Birding truly is for everyone, or it should be—I don’t recall seeing another Asian person for four days until I got back to Tucson airport. My motel had a Chinese restaurant though!
