The Speakeasy at Bardic Perspiration is a close-knit community of misfits, rogues, and activists who all share a desire to make this and every world a better place.

We're mostly friendly, sometimes salty, and more often than not inappropriate as hells because what fun is life if we're all going around being proper all of the time? Above all, though, we're here to relax between fighting evil and not bothering to take its names.

Speakeasies were places that laughed in the face of those who sought to control others people's lives and bodies. As misfits, the idea of an invite only home for like-minded people resonated with us. We wanted a place where we could speak our minds, share our truths, and plot the (obviously entirely legal and nonviolent) overthrow of tyranny and authoritarianism everywhere. And now, we have one!

Hmm. The time might have come to move instances - zirk.us has had an air of abandonment for a while, and now I'm getting missives that it is potentially a host for spam accounts. Will need to check, as moving is not a one click process, but this might be a good excuse. (Any thoughts?)

Dear Friends of Little and Large,

- I like small #instances, such as '#WeHaveCookies'
- I don't like changing my name and taking my followers with me. I am not an influencer cult head or eh... have barely worked out to do it. Yep I am the human version of #AI (Actual Ineptitude)
- Anyway glad to be somewhere. Anywhere. Better than the collapsing computer world, social media, search engines all slowly becoming inoperable. Like our politics and much else in the world.

In other words it is time to leave the stress of racing rats, AI bubbles, Orange turd thieving and enjoy something simple.

Just finish my water and a touch of cider vinegar drink and head for the breakfasting table...

@fediverse @rimu @Snoopy @Jerry #piefed is fairly new as a social media platform. There was no piefed instance before COVID if I'm not mistaken.

There ought to be more #instances of #piefed in order to reach newer users. And you might be aware that #piefed would find huge number of users in geographical areas like #china and #southAsia . What are your thoughts on this ??

Moreover, the #fediverse has its own neat rules when it comes to federating servers. Please share your thoughts on this each of you.

If you have been on Mastodon for more than a few months and plan on sticking around I suggest you move off of mastodon.social or mastodon.world if you haven’t already. Your experience will most likely be more stable and you’ll be able to explore and search federated feed.

If you have an instance and are welcoming people I’d ask you comment on and boost this toot!
