I put the oxalic acid pads in the hives today. Each hive gets 50 grams of oxalic acid that is mixed with 50 grams of glycerin. The glycerin is heated to LESS than 170F/76C before the oxalic acid is mixed in and then the Swedish dishcloths are cut in half and soaked in the mixture.
This was the Center hive that has the most bees.
No stings, no drama, no surprises.

Put a feeder on my Center hive yesterday with 2:1 syrup. Less than 20 hours and more than a third appears to be gone. This was the high population hive that felt light. Consecutive rainy days forecast and not much to forage on.

Kom ‘s avonds donderdag 20 februari om half 7 naar het Oude Tolhuys en laat met veel lawaai weten dat wij geen fascisten in Utrecht dulden!
📍 Weg naar Rhijnauwen 13-15, 3584 AD Utrecht
NieuwRechts is de zoveelste poging van extreemrechts om onder het mom van ‘gewoon’ rechts fascistische propaganda te verspreiden. Met columnisten zoals Wybren van Haga, Annabel Nanninga en Paul Cliteur hoef je niet meer alsof te doen. Op 20 februari houden ze een bijeenkomst in Utrecht met als veelzeggende titel “Het migratiedrama: tijd voor oplossingen!”. Het in Rijnsweerd gelegen Oude Tolhuys zet zijn deuren uiteraard wagenwijd voor ze open. Tenslotte hebben ze laatst ook de fascisten van de FvD van harte verwelkomt.
Op de bijeenkomst van NieuwRechts krijgen onder meer pseudowetenschapper Jan van de Beek, bekend in de wandelgangen van de PVV en de FvD, en de extreemrechtse Belgische Vlaams Belang-politicus Sam van Rooy een podium. Samen met Ebru Umar en de leden van NieuwRechts gaan ze een avondje ‘gezellig’ xenofoob keuvelen. Dit laten wij natuurlijk niet zomaar gebeuren!
Vergeet je oordopjes niet, want we zijn van plan om heel veel lawaai te maken!

NieuwRechts is yet another attempt by the far-right to spread fascist propaganda under the guise of the ‘ordinary’ right. With columnists like Wybren van Haga, Annabel Nanninga and Paul Cliteur, you don't have to pretend any more. On February 20th they will hold a meeting in Utrecht with the very telling title ‘The migration drama: time for solutions!’. The Oude Tolhuys, located in Rijnsweerd, will of course open its doors wide for them. After all, they also gave a warm welcome to the fascists of the FvD not too long ago.
At the NieuwRechts gathering, pseudo-scientist Jan van de Beek, known from the PVV and the FvD, and far-right Belgian Vlaams Belang politician Sam van Rooy, among others, will be given a platform. Together with Ebru Umar and members of NieuwRechts, they will have an evening of xenophobic chatter. Of course, we won't let this happen!
