  1. This evening I created my first model in #FreeCAD that’s not made from basic shapes 🎉

It was really fun to see how a sketch turns into a real object, and how parts of that sketch can be used to extrude features along the main body.

    Super cool learning moment 🤓
Now it’s time for the printer to do its thing🔥

  4. It's ! What are you wonderful people working on with at the moment?

  5. I've been making an effort to use #freecad more. This week has been using the #gridfinity workbench to make some socket organizers. #printables is full of them, but it's quick and easy enough to draw up exactly what I need quickly and drop it into #prusaslicer and send it to my #Prusa XL.

FreeCAD has come a long way in a short time and the roadmap for 1.1 looks like it hasn't lost any momentum.

  14. First #FreeCADing of the year: I've bought a second MGN9 mini rail and modified my #vinylCutter mount for pens, brushes, and whatnot.

  15. creating a digital cockpit for the old-school Honda MT/MTX mopeds/motorbikes.

The housing has got holes for the ignition lock, a display, a range of indicator lights, and a series of push buttons.

What's left is to union the various parts, remove the walls at the inside and bottom, and smoothen the edges.

Will have this housing 3D printed and start on the inner electronics as soon as the fitting is right.

  20. What I don’t get about #FreeCAD is why, every single time you try to put a drawing on a sheet, the orthogonal views preview box never adjusts to the scale properly and always shows the view outside the workspace. It’s super annoying. But this happen only to me? #CAD #TechDraw
