About 16 years ago, TForsman on the Foresight Linux team asked me if I could write a #GUI for the conary package manager.

Well, here it is, but where are you Foresight? @kenvandine :)

Besides scratching my itch, I wanted something like #synaptics #dnfdragora and #octopi, distro agnostic, hence #Sabas.

Sabas is a package manager, not limited to #linux, written in #java atop the #NetBeans Platform.
Different backends are supported through plugins and I am working on #APT, #DNF and #SDKMAN atm.

For a GUI for pacman try #Octopi or #GuiMan. Though if you are comfortable with terminal/shell then #YAY is a better replacment for pacman.

Based on my timeline we're in every other -tober month, but not #October.

Seems like no one likes #octopi.

Heute mal so nebenbei das #OctoPi bei meinem #3dPrinter aktualisieren. Ist eh ganz easy und geht schnell.

1. Backup im OctoPi UI anstoßen
2. Raspberry Pi Imager vorbereiten
2. Backup downloaden
3. 3D-Printer ausschalten
4. SD-Karte aus Pi in Laptop stecken
5. Raspberry Pi Image Schreiben starten
6. ⏳
7. 🤔
8. bemerken, dass der Backup-Download durch das Ausschalten des 3D-Printers unterbrochen wurde (Raspi wird vom Printer mit Strom versorgt) und das Backup-Fragment leider keine brauch-/rettbaren Daten enthält

@CachyOS That is good and I'm happy for you as a developer who is behind #cachyos.

I personally also like #cachyos, but to be able to use it permanently, the package manager #octopi should also be replaced by Pacman or Pamac (not as Aur) or even with Bauh Plus own (further) development by this package manager, where it is also a notification and the Portmaster under #cachyos Errors are registered more in the execution.

Otherwise, not only specified DNS servers should be possible for use, but also user-defined DNS servers and that this setting should not simply be switched to the DNS servers from Cloudflare without doing anything, which I do not like either.

Gerade entnervt aufgegeben. Das Klonen einer #sdhc mit einer #octopi Installation ist weder mit Win32 Disk Imager noch mit Rufus gelungen, alles nicht Boot-fähiger Müll. Nicht nur das das widerlich ist, ich müsste das manuell neu einrichten, und es saugt mir gerade alle verfügbare Motivation ab. Eine Flex ansetzen und den #CR10 klein machen und gegen einen Drucker ersetzen der das einfach kann klingt gerade richtig gut. #3ddruck

I am looking for an "AppImage" organizer app i used from #Garuda -
I think it scanned my ./home dir for .appImage files and basically put them in the "Start menu". might have one for Flatpak as well, or i'm confusing them.

Out comes a Raspberry Pi 4 that didn't have a purpose in life.

Mothballed Prusa Mini firmware now up to date, under #OctoPrint control and passed all the self tests.

Now just waiting for the SuperPINDA to turn it into a Mini+.
