Here's a 7 minute fun slideshow video from our Makertube channel to try to bring a smile to your faces today.
This concert was one of the most joyous of that year, filled with so much humour as you can see in the photographs taken by Steven.

"The raucous humour that they bring to their performance and share with their audience is only possible from two experienced and respected classical professionals, completely at ease with their respective instruments – these range from accordion, flute, recorders through rubber chicken, kazoo etc..
The origins of this duo date back to the 70’s in Cambridge, England, where two students started busking to make some money to earn some cash. Ever since then they have been delighting audiences world-wide and shattering the prejudices of those who had considered this to be a stuffy genre.
Playing over the slideshow are their renditions of Offenbach's “Orpheus in the Underworld” and "The Ruins of Athens, Op. 113: No.4” by Beethoven (used by kind permission) from their CD entitled “Mini Classics” in a glimpse of the joys of attending one of their concerts."If you enjoy this content, you can subscribe to the channel to see new videos as they are released. stop...." - a.a. milneOur two original Cornish Rex cats, Rupert and Molly. Like all cats, they migrate around the house depending on where the sun is shining. In the morning it shines through onto the stairs. I was struck on that particular morning by the wavy shadows of the stair balusters next to the curly cats. Rupert was a golden colour, Molly was black.

Zaz: "What?"
I happened to peer into the cozy sleeping cubby area of Zaz's cat tower to see what she was up to. There is a heated pad in it that I try to stop her from sleeping directly on by wrapping it in various blankets, but she always burrows into it somehow. This time I was sure I had it fixed, by putting it into an old sweater, with just a tiny neck hole buried underneath.
And there she was, as if tucked into a warm bed, her head sticking up from the neck, just woken up, as cozy as can be.

Poor Badger doesn't care for dentistry!
She had a lot of teeth removed about 10 days ago (she suffers from resorption), so that's pretty traumatic in itself. To make matters worse the pain medication made her nauseous so she wouldn't eat and when I stopped giving her that medication she was in too much pain to eat the soft canned food. The others offered to help clean her plate but were foiled in the attempt and went off in a sulk. So everyone was pretty miserable, including Steven and me.
She's doing much better now that she's on pain and anti nausea meds she can tolerate. She's eating again and obviously feeling more like herself.
She'll have to go back to have the others removed in 6 months or a year. They didn't want to keep her under the anaesthetic any longer as her blood pressure became difficult to stabilize.
I don't do well when any in my little family are sick.
