  1. I really like this in Japan. When people buy stuff, they are normally happy about it and make the most out of it.
    吾唯足知

    This is the way...

  2. Wow reading in a German forum is disturbing. I hope those people don't represent the majority of Kia PV5 drivers. Some lecturing about not using powerstrips on V2L like everyone is doing around the world because of a theoretical danger (like driving?), others whine about a missing light in the trunk like it is "THE" most important thing, and others debating about 150kwh charging is never reached, hence the promised 30 min for 10-80% is reached easily.
    Poor Germans. Never satisfied.

  3. Well, it's easy to recognize an AI chatbot at the drive-thru:
It's friendly, calm and gets your order right.

  4. I can't stop drinking this... I love Pocari Sweat 💦

  5. Hmm using i3 as a kwin replacement works fine. Well but don't have your panel on autohide. I can't invoke it anymore.

  6. Yeah I mean I had to go there...
    Tokyo Disneyland. Really impressive.

  7. I just can't stop walking here. It's mesmerizing to watch the city from here.

  8. Symbiosis. Because it works...

  9. Watching a lot of EV Videos now. I think next year I will decide which electric car to buy.
Currently I'm really hooked on the Kia PV5. So versatile.

  10. I case you wonder... 5 weeks later, still didn't bring the feature to to me.
It appeared for 1 day (!) to be removed the next day. Then the old HDR effect did not work, now it's back to the old HDR effect working, but UltraHDR is nowhere to be found.
Looking for alternatives to HDR (display! not photo taking hdr) for photos on Android. Nothing!
Wow... now give my hopes to

(And hopes are low because APNG can't be uploaded to Mastodon?!)

  11. Google Photos WTF?

The photos disaster continues after the Ultra HDR feature appeared, components couldn't be installed. Now is gone again and shows the old HDR effect.
If Google can't even deliver this feature, I fear for the whole safety and reliability of

  12. madness continues.

The feature (which doesn't even exist according to Google) has now appeared for me. But the additional components won't install (OKB).
    -} 🤦‍♂️ {-

  13. This is insane. After a week long exchange of mails, Google denies exists:

"We highly appreciate you taking the time to contact us for your concern. To understand how inconvenient this is however as per checking with our backend team HDR effect is the only one available as of the moment. Once a new available feature is added in Google Photos, we will be rolling it out and have it available to as many users as we can; however as of the moment there is no Ultra HDR feature yet."

  14. Wow, having a blast with the team.
After 17 emails I've just got a mail to send a bug report via the photos app. Well that's how I get here.

Anyone else missing the Ultra HDR feature in the adjust tab when editing a photo? Apparently it should have been rolled out to everybody by now.

  15. Just found this old meme.
    Still valid. Especially valid...

  16. I want a glass Tron-style.
I'm having enough from cleaning keyboards. Never use a lens on your keyboard. :blobcatsweat:

  17. Using as a drop down terminal on with tdrop.
Made a custom shortcut for F12 with that command after installing tdrop:

    tdrop -ma -x 15 -y 100 -w 1890 -h 540 -s dropdown kitty

Works good. It replacing the windows position. A bit off annoying, but great to have a modern terminal at all times.

My "love affair" with kitty goes on for some time on a lot of distributions :)

  18. Mornings getting more chilly...
    Shot with telephoto macro

  19. Geez, I really want FaceID for the Sony Xperia 1 VI. The fingerprint sensor is really crappy with my fingers. Horrible.

  20. Well, I see the end of a bit different than the hardcore fediverse fans. It's a bad sign for Mastodon, too. If we don't get off our horse and solve the obvious problems of the network, it will go nowhere for mainstream.
I can't believe Moz getting dizzed for turning off their instance when measly 270 users where using it.
I still reminds me of XMPP. Was the best, os community denied features normal users want, even when Google tried to force it with Google Talk, now it's a zombie.

  21. Oh hi my little horsefly.

    Taken with the Sony
    Tele macro video

  22. I uploaded some photos with RAWs and videos taken with the Sony Xperia 1 VI for you to inspect and play around with.

The .mov file is an intro video in German NOT made with the Xperia.

The first video is a Slow motion video with 120fps, the second is a 4K/60fps file.

There are some telemacro shots (no RAWs available when using it), normal 24mm and some telephoto shots (see exif data).

  23. Sony Xperia 1 VI already ordered. Can't wait for it to hold it in my hands.

  24. @steamdeckhq I can't believe it. 2024 and EA still treats customers like crap.

  25. Pimiga 4 up and running. Great work from Chris Edwards Restauration (YouTube).
Awesome. Multiboot image under for x86 and Pi4/400. The same drive! Magic :)
    Amiga rulez! Amegas rulez :ablobcatwink:

  26. As expected...
If you have any hiccups on (like with smooth scrolling in Firefox etc.) with an intel graphics card you can switch to the intel-media-va-driver-non-free driver in synaptic. The intel-media-va-driver iwll be removed automatically.
Works great now without any graphic distortions. I know it's not free software but the glitches drove me insane.
And 4k video fullscreen in Firefox now without any problems.

  27. Found a solution for the sound problem:

    $ emacs /etc/pulse/default.pa

Find this section and change as following:

    ### Make some devices default
    set-default-sink alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.hdmi-stereo
    # set-default-source input

    The default sink was alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.hdmi-stereo
    for me.
You can list all sinks with:
    $ pactl list sinks

  28. Bodhi-Linux runs great. Only my default sound-device has to be set every time I boot. Other than that fast and versatile.
