  1. #DetectiveConan episode 1201: 9.5/10. Some of the dialogue from the suspects felt way too flat for my liking (though that could be an issue with how Crunchyroll translated the dialogue), but outside of that, this was an incredibly solid episode. I personally didn't see the solution coming, though I can't really explain why without spoiling the solution. But with next week and the week after that being remasters (which the US usually doesn't get), I'll have to hope my other Saturday shows can effectively fill the hole during those weeks.

  2. In this week's episode of Detective Conan, Kogoro, Conan, and Ran are called to the scene of a locked room murder, where four people confess to being the culprit.

The one truth behind the mystery has an interesting twist, and it's one that I can't remember from any of the episodes that I've seen.

  12. In this week's episode of Detective Conan, Kogoro, Conan, and Ran stumble upon a murder mystery while investigating a porch pirate. It seems the case is solved at the halfway point, but Conan realizes there's more going on.

I thought it was a good episode and was much better than last week's.

  17. Happy #DetectiveConan Episode 1200 day, everyone! :] I'd say this episode is a solid 9 to 9.5 out of 10 for me. I actually managed to figure out who the culprit was in this episode...even if the answer was revealed in universe shortly after the pieces fell into place for me. However, it's still a fun episode, and I wouldn't mind giving it a rewatch at a later date!

  18. This week's #DetectiveConan episode, aka episode 1199...that was...something. Maybe...4.5/10 at absolute best. My mom was already familiar with the Silver Detectives from their last appearance, but I genuinely hope we don't see them again. Haibara's reactions to the Silver Detectives in this episode are a genuine mood.

  19. This week's anime-only Detective Conan story brought back the Silver Detectives. Why did they bring these annoying characters back?

The episode was a little better than I expected, and I was moved by the case's conclusion, but then the post-credits scene happened and we were back to the status quo.

  27. This week's Detective Conan episode sets up a mystery with elements that are based on the Cinderella fairytale. But things aren't as they seem on the surface.

Yuu Daigo, the rich guy looking for "his Cinderella" was kind of annoying. This wasn't one of the better anime-only episodes.

  32. Last week's Detective Conan episode saw Conan and a Kamen Yaiba cosplayer helping the police solve a robbery case. It serves as the lead-in for the recent Detective Conan film, Fallen Angel of the Highway.

It was an OK episode, but it works for what it's trying to do.

  37. My thoughts on #DetectiveConan Episode 1198: 9/10. Yes, the plot of this episode could be considered weird, but I had a genuinely fun time with this episode. It doesn't progress the main story at all, but the filler episodes are literally just for entertainment purposes for me. If I was entertained, and that entertainment also seems equivalent to the enjoyment I had over the course of the episode, then that's fine by me.

  38. This week's #DetectiveConan episode: 7.5/10. -.5 points because this just felt like an ordinary anime original episode but with references to the movie thrown in to make it clear that this is supposed to be the movie tie in episode. I would've been more forgiving if a character we don't see in the ordinary anime originals showed up *physically*, but since none of those characters appeared physically, it felt like there was little reason for this to be the movie tie-in episode. It still got a high score because I enjoyed the mystery, and I believe that even without the post-credits scene that leads into the movie, the episode is still enjoyable. Don't know if this is par for the course for DetCo movie tie-in episodes, however, as this is literally the first one I've watched.

  39. Almost forgot to talk about this week's #DetectiveConan episode, whoops! Been too long since I watched it for me to nail down a numerical rating (though I'd say it's likely around a 7/10 for me), and I was wrong in my guess of who the culprit was. Ah well. Can't win them all.

Next week is the movie tie in episode. I may still provide my thoughts, but just not rate it because I feel like it'd be unfair to rate the tie in without having seen the movie at all.

  40. This week, Conan (surprise, surprise) solved both murders at the spiral-themed art museum thanks to making observations and testing theories. The identity of the culprit made sense due to their motive.

I'll be watching next week's episode later than usual, so my impression post will be late.

  45. This week's #DetectiveConan episode was a...7.5-ish? out of 10 for me. I've gotta admit, the concept is rather fun, it's mainly got the lower rating because this episode was basically just setup, and while I have my SUSPICIONS as to who the culprit is among the suspects, I'm not going to say who it is until the next episode airs, as I don't want to act like it'll FOR SURE be this person, only for the series to throw a curveball at me and have it turn out it's someone else.
