To those newly boosting this- I can no longer in good conscience recommend #Keet as an ethical messaging alternative. In some ways that is fine, because it's serverless and so there's no infrastructure that can be compromised.
Just be aware that it is fascist-built and owned tech, set your boundaries and sanctions appropriately, and give nothing back to their toxic and structurally violent community.

Heard some wild updates about the state of #permaculture communities & collectives in south-east #Queensland from a friend yesterday.
I mean I already knew that countercultural spaces along #Australia's central east coast were going full fascist through the #antivaxx > #FarRight recruitment pipeline, but hearing about male leadership standing onstage at music festivals talking about how women should be blindly obedient to men and cede their intellectual efforts to "powerful male warriors" is impressively patriarchal.

As I've already indicated, if no official response is given I will be creating strong sanctions around use of @holepunch_to software and contributing to their communities. I will no longer recommend #Keet or #Pears openly or to groups I work with, and instead take on the responsibility of warning marginalised people of their toxic culture and against engaging with them.

@holepunch_to in regard to characterising you as #TechnoFascist - your community culture is your responsibility. I hope you do at least as well as #RegenFoundation / #RegenLedger although tbh their efforts in culture work have been minimal and years later they continue their habit of asserting their goodness and silencing #Black voices.
