Собст-но, к чему я запостил тот утренний пост про политику и произведения искусства?
Просто прикинул, что было бы глупо, если бы я жаловался на то, сколько политоты развелось в конвенциональных сетях, а потом пару постов спустя начал бы делиться впечатлениями об игре, где один из ключевых персонажей вываливает на тебя целый курс политологии с идеологическим окрасом.

Пытаюсь собраться с мыслями после вчерашнего забега в #VtMB.
В течение всех побочек, которые я выполнял в Санта-Монике, я ни разу не ввязывался в драку (мой Тореадор вообще по дракам не спец, хотя стреляет неплохо). Ну, если не считать того квеста с пропавшим следаком. Все потенциальные конфликты решались через "синий текст" в диалогах (Убеждение).
Тот пост про Disco Elysium был не шуткой: игра натурально ощущалась как Disco Elysium от первого / третьего лица, а я был ~~Гарри~~ Саймоном Открывашкой, разводящим людей и упырей на кооперацию. Но это звучит не в упрек: побочки пусть и не блещут оригинальностью, но вполне затягивают за счёт озвучки и дизайна персонажей (мужик из bail bond'a и "тетя Галя" из банка крови - мои любимые).
Но даже они меркнут по сравнению с плот-твистом по сюжетке. Разглашать не стану, но я счастлив, что вышел на него без спойлеров. Но теперь осталась дилемма, которая разрывает меня надвое...

A question for pc gamers:
There are a lot of mods for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and there's something I am looking for but don't want to have to check every single one for it. What I'm looking for is a mod that expands the maps, makes them bigger with more room to explore and look around. If you are familiar with the game Deus Ex, there is a mod that does this called Revision, so what I am hoping for is basically that. Does anyone know of anything like that? Probably a long shot, but Revision is popular enough I think that there is at least a chance. 🙏 -

On this day 19 years ago, Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines was released!
(Also, a little game called Half-Life 2; a detail which is more than mere coincidence.)
I made a video last year about the death and rebirth of this unusual cult favourite; the studio that made it, the circumstances behind its initial commercial failure, and its remarkable comeback from buggy flop to genre classic.
