With some help from my super awesome hubby I think I finally figured out how the pieces of the end to TFS fit together!!! Much excite and much relief.
Overnight I let the ideas settle. This is the benefit of sleeping on your work. My brain processed what I outlined and informed me as I woke that I had Tårik figuring out the same thing twice. 🤦🏼♀️

While I’ve been mulling over how to finish off #TheFirstSinWIP I’ve done more work with my CSM and have successfully made two pairs of socks that fit! It’s very gratifying, as the machine does have quite a bit of a learning curve to it.
Sometimes it boggles my mind that TFS is over 108,000 words now. There’s still a chunk to come before the end but whew I’ve come so far and done so much! I’m almost double what I had originally written for HOTE! 👀

Worked a LOT on TFS today. Added whole new scenes early in the work and pushed to the end of Chapter Sixteen. The draft is now 103,857 words and I’m feeling good about all the material! They say not to edit as you go, but sometimes cleaning things up feels like making the book fresh. I’m actually excited to keep going!

Senecíní is the most important substance in the årdrakin empire. It means "star crystal" and powers their ability to travel faster than light. The crystals also contain perceptive energy and are capable of healing themselves if damaged. But in their unrefined state they are highly explosive!

Perhaps a bit on the nose, but today's #languary word is the årdrakin "besånshí", which means "pandemic". Pandemics aren't often seen in the advanced årdrakin society, but they have known rampant disease and the deaths it brings in their history.

This #languary word makes an appearance in TFS. It's used by Cerobi when she first meets the skydwellers, but the skydwellers don't understand what she means. "Yakĕyi" means "open", such as to open a gift.

This skarastaja #languary word is rarely spoken these days. "Amtsi", which means "erode", is an action not often seen on Berwen because it doesn't rain on the planet anymore and there are no flowing bodies of water there either. Wind erosion tends to only become a factor during the dark season.

If "tújimú shizål" is "belief house", then "Vek Ålna" is the most important belief house the årdrakin have. Basically their Vatican, this #languary word translates literally as "black spire" owing to the shape and color of the mountain that towers over the temple.

Talgor is the divine Father of the Whole, Bestower of the mystic light, Dispeller of darkness, and Destroyer of all worlds. His sacred symbol graces the image for the skarastaja posts.
The skarastaja are sun worshippers. In reality, their world is quickly being roasted into oblivion by an aging massive star. How the low-tech skarastaja manage to understand this phenomenon as a basis for their religion is a mystery in TFS.

There are many religions in the årdrakin Empire, although Årdraan (the belief in Årdra, the Mother Goddess) is the majority belief system. To encompass the many different places that people worship in, the årdrakin use the word "tújimú shizål" to loosely mean church or temple, but literally it translates as "belief house".

Husband bought me lifetime access to PWA for early Christmas since it was 50% off so I spent yesterday fooling around with it. In the end I ended up writing over 2000 words on another project I have that I’ve been stalled on for months. Felt really good! I’m definitely enjoying PWA as a tool and feel like it will help me a lot when I get to run TFS through it.
