If you're a parent (even if you're not, but definitely if you're a parent) and you want something light but also kind of sad / bittersweet to read, I cannot recommend Catherine Newman's “Sandwich” and “Wreck” enough. The sweet way in which the protagonist describes how her grown kids did things when they were small is just the best 😭

I *finally* started reading “Nesting” by Roisín O’Donnell yesterday after having it on my TBR for agesssss and it’s so good but also so heart-wrenching and anxiety-inducing. 😭❤️🩹
A++, recommended if you need a reminder of why men are trash and also why we still need feminism, abuse prevention, more infrastructure to combat the housing crisis, more funding going into women’s shelters, etc etc etc -
