  1. Around Lizard Point I saw my first naturalised Tamarisk trees in three locations: sheltering the youth hostel, a short distance to the W along the coast path (openstreetmap.org/way/81477139), and above a large patch of Blackthorn scrub closer to the village.

    My expectations of this small tree are entirely coloured by one or more images from Ladybird Books I first read nearly 60 years ago. 1/2.
