I don't care if you hate them, or love them, Skillet is doing some really good, independent things as they have matured, trying to break away from 'the system'
Created their own record label to break away from the record labels control.
Released their own app to break away from corporate streaming services.
Inside their app is a social media platform.
Playing smaller venues that stick with their roots, while still selling out larger ones.
These guys are on their way to getting it right.

Not to mention this band's music has saved me a mental funk on multiple occasions.
