It seems i did some harm to my #sensorwatch while flashing a new firmware.

When connected via micro-USB the watch shows up as "WATCHBOOT" device on my PC as it should and i can (apparently) copy the new firmware to it (which makes the device disappear).

But it won't show anything on the display when reassembled, "light" button also does nothing. Battery is at 2.87V which should be fine. Tried a custom firmware and the fresh build from the main branch.

Is there are "Date" watch complication for #sensorwatchpro that can show the full date, weekday and week of the year?

Almost 4 weeks later i really love my #sensorwatch pimped #F91W

Thinking about doing another board swap on an A164 as well to have another style watch available. But would skip the accelerometer for this one.

Just made the board swap on my F-91W to #sensorwatch. I have gone with the full fletched version with custom LCD and accelerometer.
Swap was done in a few minutes although i needed to disassemble it twice cause the buzzer was not working on first attempt.

It's more expensive then the PineTime and has less "features" - but it has all i need and fits into the iconic case of the F-91W. Love it.

Skmei watches are well built. They are really cheap and I have no allergies with their bands (not like it happens with casio). Sadly they clone casio designs but mimic their mistakes and ads extra ones just to circumvent copyright issues. Wish I could just run #sensorwatch in them instead #skmei #digitalwatches

@JC2112 I am just using using @joeycastillo's #SensorWatch board https://www.sensorwatch.net with some firmware that includes the includes Beat Time watch face/complication https://www.sensorwatch.net/docs/watchfaces/clock/#beat-time

If using prebuilt firmware it is not too challenging to upgrade yourself.

Also if you want a universal time you can already do that by offering a time in UTC. Anyway it is still fun and you still find occasional references to it on the internet and in software. Here is one of my #Casio F-91Ws using @joeycastillo's super cool #SensorWatch module to show a time in .beats.

With the screwdriver that came with my eye glasses repair kit, I disassembled the watch, revealing the original #casio circuit board, one of the seven wonders of 1980's consumer electronics.

I was a little bit worried doing the watch surgery, as I am rather clumsy, but it took me less than 30 minutes until the watch was back together, and I didn't even need to watch the instruction video!

By way of explanation: I have shipped four variants of #SensorWatch over the years, and this is me testing the release candidate firmware on all of them. Because you can’t test a wearable on a workbench alone. You have to wear it.

Got a hackable replacement main board for a hardware classic.

Going to have some fun playing with the custom firmware toolchain. It’s a welcome break from all the cloudy remote automated pipeline stuff I have to work with for a living.
