For a long time I have been looking for a midsize (36mm) Omega Seamaster for my small wrist. Omega stopped making midsize versions years ago. Now it is just 41mm and 42mm.
I originally wanted the "Bond" one with light blue aluminum bezel insert but that scratches very easily so it is very hard to find one in a good condition.
I found one with steel bezel for a good price and could not resist.
For a 20-25 years old watch it still looks very good, no big scratches or over-polishing and more importantly it still runs well so no servicing needed for now.

«Говорящий не знает, а знающий не говорит» или про начавшиеся поставки Pebble 2 Duo и производство Pebble Time 2 — это не устройства на eInk- дисплеях или же e-Ink. Там иная технология, тоже энергосберегающая и древняя, но с частотой обновления почти 60 Гц (что до сих пор недостижимо для eInk-устройств).
В русском языке прижилось название трансфлективный жидкокристаллический дисплей.
«transflective» = transmissive + reflective.
В данном случае, это transflective MLCDs (Memory LCD Display), поскольку с эффектом памяти — требуются крайне малые затраты энергии для поддержания картинки, фактически расходуется лишь при обновлении/изменении отображаемого.
Т.е. у Pebble 2 Duo хорошая анимация и скорость обновления экрана, который выполнен по технологии чёрно-белого трансфлективного MLCDs дисплея. В то время как у Pebble Time 2 такой же, но уже цветной дисплей.
Возможны три варианта работы такого дисплея:- Transmissive Mode использует включается встроенная подсветка.
- Reflective Mode — только отражённый свет (энергосберегающий).
- Комбинации режимов Reflective Mode и Transmissive Mode.
Навеяно листанием многочисленных псевдо-новостных заметок с обзорами на таких помойках как хабр-швабр. Снобизм и гордыня? Просто убеждает, в 100500-й раз, насколько верен принцип «говорящий не знает, а знающий не говорит».

В программном плане Pebble-часы, программная начинка для устройств уже могут проходить по тегу #diy
Поскольку Pebble OS со всеми составляющими уже выложена в open source. И есть десять лет паузы, между банкротством и возрождением производства, которые наглядно демонстрируют проверкой на прочность насколько хороши:- сообщество фанатов (т.н. «Rebble», независимые сервера)
- жизнеспособность таких гаджетов для гиков и им подобных
- востребованность данной платформы самореализации
И будет изрядное количество желающих оттоптаться или прислониться к новому треду, новой волне. Но как обычно, не особо погружаясь в предметную область и постоянно лажая с подачей информации. Распространяя откровенную дезинформацию, зачастую без умысла, сколько по недосмотру и заблуждениям.
