I'm reaching out to people with knowledge of #Japan and #Sengoku period for helping fix a game which English translation feels a bit broken.

My new favorite video game is #SengokuDynasty. In Japanese Sen 戦 means war, goku 国 means country(countries) or state (states). Some people interpret Sengoku as "a country in war" which is not exactly correct. Japanese, like Chinese, does not distinguish between singular and plural. #Sengoku likely means the fighting between (warlord) states. #Japan, like #China, was NOT a unified country. The concept of a unified Japan (and a unified China) only has a few hundred years of history. #gaming
