It's getting really lame to see organizations hide behind a spokesperson when they frantically try to dodge any and all responsibility for things that went wrong.
At this point I'd respect a yeah we fucked up big time and we took <these> actionable points to mitigate and prevent future incidents. Rather than another 'your privacy and security are of utmost importance to us blah blah...'
(Especially if they failed to implement basic measures in the first place)
