Years ago, I worked at a Tim Hortons and was told that cops got their orders for free. I was much more naive then and thought this meant the generosity extended to firefighters and paramedics. When I was caught giving free coffee to paramedics and reamed out about it, that’s when I understood it was a protection racket. #ACAB #ProtectionRacket #Bribery

2fa is nominally good as a security practice. What is bad is applying authentication to activities that should not be authenticated. Such as accessing public and published information.
It's a straight-up coercive projection-racket threat:
