Как сделать типобезопасный клиент для Strapi: разбираем вывод типов из populate на уровне компилятора
У любого запроса к Strapi есть неприятное свойство: форма ответа зависит от того, что вы попросили. Запросили статью без populate — в ответе только скалярные поля. Добавили populate: { category: true } — появилась вложенная категория. Добавили fields: ['name'] внутри populate — категория пришла обрезанной. Один и тот же эндпоинт возвращает десятки разных форм, и статический TypeScript-интерфейс ни одну из них честно не описывает: он либо врёт (обещает поля, которых в этом конкретном ответе нет), либо бесполезен ( any ). В этой статье я разберу, как решить эту проблему кодогенерацией: как достать схему из работающего Strapi, сгенерировать по ней TypeScript-клиент и — самое интересное — как заставить систему типов вывести форму ответа прямо из аргумента populate на этапе компиляции. Подход Prisma-подобный: возвращаемый тип метода зависит от того, что вы передали в вызов. Код — на TypeScript; клиент, на примере которого я всё показываю, open-source под MIT, ссылка в конце. “Floods, as extreme flow events, are among the costliest and devastating natural hazards. Among the various domains impacted by flooding, environmental degradation, particularly the deterioration of water quality (WQ), is one of the most impacted yet often overlooked. Therefore, it is essential to understand the nature and source of water pollution associated with flooding. This study aims to evaluate and assess multiple studies conducted globally to determine the impact of floods on WQ. A literature review and assessment of 66 studies published between 2007 and 2026 was conducted using the total comprehensiveness score (TCS). To support the scoring process, studies that scored more than 70% of the maximum achievable TCS (15.4) are considered the most detailed and comprehensive in addressing the objectives of this review. 16 studies achieved a TCS above 15.4, indicating that a limited number of studies incorporate a broader set of factors in this domain. A higher number of studies were conducted post the year 2021, highlighting both scientific progress and a growing focus on WQ impacts from disasters such as floods, beyond the traditionally emphasized socio-economic loss. Among the shortlisted studies, fluvial floods are the most frequently examined, followed by pluvial floods and coastal floods. During fluvial floods, turbidity increased by up to two orders of magnitude, while nutrient concentrations (TN, TP) typically rose by ∼ 10–30%. In contrast, pluvial floods were characterised by dilution-driven decreases in EC and TDS, with DOX, BOD and COD showing variable responses across flood types. This review evaluates flood impacts on WQ, catchment characteristics, and sources of WQ modification. The findings of the research reveal that not all WQ parameters are responsible for WQ degradation during every flood event. Rather, it is a combination of certain parameters that leads to deteriorated WQ. WQ degradation depends on interacting factors such as flood duration, extent, depth, and flow dynamics. In overall, this study provides an overview of the multiple cascading impacts of floods on WQ, along with a detailed perspective on the set of criteria that should be considered in future research…”

We're supporting @sage_southaus to do undertake a particiaptory micro-grant funding round for local grassroots groups and initiatives that can offer projects to help address systemic and long term issues around wellbeing in our activist (and related) communities.
We're preparing to use an incredible open source tool called CoBudget but as we look over the code we can see that since COVID the project could do with a little love.

Когда в октябре 2024-го заблокировали Дискорд, я сидел в голосовом канале с друзьями. Связь оборвалась, все полезли за впн-ками, кто-то ушёл в Телеграм, кто-то просто пропал. Серверы, которые мы строили годами, с каналами, ролями, ботами, в один момент стали недоступны. Я фрилансер, пишу на React и Node.js. В тот вечер подумал: а насколько сложно вообще сделать свой мессенджер с серверной структурой? Не чат на вебсокетах из туториала, а нормальный. С серверами, каналами, ролями, голосовыми комнатами, ботами. Такой, чтобы можно было перетащить своё сообщество и не чувствовать разницы. Оказалось, сложно. Но я всё равно сделал.

Последнее время вся моя работа связана с энтерпрайзом и бигтехом. Но так было не всегда. Лет 12-15 назад работал в производственной компании, и там довелось создать «на коленке» систему мониторинга для промышленного оборудования. У компании были современные импортные станки с проприетарным софтом, дорогим обслуживанием. Непрерывное круглосуточное производство. Но собственная IT-инфраструктура была слаба – всего несколько разработчиков, а аналитики бизнесовые. Всё же бизнесу нужно было следить за оборудованием: кто работает, кто простаивает, кто отключает датчики. Крайне необходимо было снизить вероятность поломок и простаивания. В статье расскажу, как «на коленке» собрали многомодульную систему. Вперёд в прошлое!
