Started watching #primeval TV show made by ITV in early 2000's sometime. It appealed to me because I like alien origin stories (eg smallville, Stargate) that are not too heavy to watch.

I don't think it's supposed to be a comedy but it's fucking hilarious 😂

Like, so bad it's good kind of TV. Early Dr Who vibes being slightly slapstick with some comical side characters, terrible acting, ridiculous yet engaging storyline, and hilarious CGI.

I'm addicted 😂

It is nice that #Primeval never went for "retcon" or "mushrooms ... in the water supply" for the wedding episode they did (S4 E6)...

Whenever I see anyone mention #American #Primeval, I get some cognitive dissonance, because I'm a big fan of the #British series #Primeval, which is about something *completely* different. It's even weirder because there was a short-lived sequel series titled Primeval: New World (set in #Canada, not the #US, but still). Not that a crossover wouldn't be fun ...

I'd forgotten how entertaining "Primeval" was.

My brief visit to #CostaRica, my mother's birthplace, almost 30 years ago, was at the start of the #ecotourism trend described in this article, and was nothing at all like the author's experience.

We stayed in #SanJose, but I did visit the #CloudForest (and a river tour and my then third #volcano, #Arenal). It is a beautiful country.

The #ferns especially struck me as #primeval; I imagined dinosaurs eating or wading through them, they were so massive.

Stayed up later than planned last night reading Shadow of the Jaguar by Steven Savile. The characters discovered something at the end of the chapter but didn't tell you what. I started the next chapter but it switched to another group. I read through that and found the next chapter started with a different character. At that point I decided I had to sleep. Good book. #Primeval #book

I've started on the original British PRIMEVAL and there is a young woman character who is shown in her underwear at least once every couple of episodes and... Okay? I mean looking at half-naked people is fun, but if I wanted to look at half-naked people I've got the internet for that. I tune in to PRIMEVAL for people capturing prehistoric creatures.

And those prehistoric creatures are TOTALLY naked.
