First time seeing the first postage stamp, called the "Penny Black"
I couldn't help seeing
"MonepennyH"Does anybody else see that and think of the character "Miss Moneypenny" in James Bond?
Nothing on the Internet backs this up, mind you. Wikipedia says "Her name originated from an unfinished novel by Fleming's older brother, Peter Fleming, who abandoned the project after writing 30,000 words."
Still, who's to say that Fleming's brother didn't draw inspiration from the first stamp?
(The M and H designate the row and column on the printed sheet of stamps.)

I just got the recent “Waterfalls" postage stamps, but I’m out of layers on my custom Google map. I like to send postcards with stamps that relate to where I'm posting from, so I use this map when traveling.
I've only just discovered that I can add custom columns, so I'll probably end up using that instead of layer-per-series, but I can't seem to reorder or rename columns, so will have to get this right the first time. (Maybe export/import will help rename/reorder.) #USPS #PostageStamp

The original art is on a house that was devastated by Russian shelling in the town of Borodyanka, near the capital #Kyiv.
