  1. @lzvolk if there’s a discrepancy, then it should be brought to surface. But we’d have to wait for some validation of a starting point.

I’m not qualified to explore this any further, but if there’s a problem, then I believe that it is incumbent upon the community to expose and/or bring about a correction

I’m a clarion when I encounter #accessibility issues specifically because #PeopleLivingWithDisabilities are so frequently written off.

Keep at it. If they mess up, call them on it

I’d like to point out the #standard level of #empathy towards #PeopleLivingWithDisabilities

At least this is what it sounds like to me. (from the article):
“Home Office sources said: “We are aware of the tragic passing of the asylum seeker who had been hospitalised.”

Notice the emotional impact? Me neither.

And here I was beginning to think it was just me. :blobcatdisturbed:

  11. I can’t believe I forgot to share this!

Did you know that #PeopleLivingWithDisabilities can #speak with a #live person who is #trained in &/or (even better!) living with their own #disability.

They #engage and even #TakeNotes/ #ScreenShare to learn how to forward our needs to their #Apple #engineers.

    #like #share #SharingIsCaring #accessibility #tech

    (Hopefully working on their #WebDesign- it’s #NotAccessible) to #Siri #ScreenReader🤯)

  13. @m3t00 image text #OCR puts the #work in the hands of someone who is already #accessibility #challenged.

You’re literally telling me to #work to enjoy the website.

Think about it- how hard would you be willing to constantly work to visit a web page that is looking for your eyes?

Seriously, if sighted people are regularly willing to invest >5 seconds on a website, what makes you think that #PeopleLivingWithDisabilities should invest in 1 that isn’t #accessible?

    Hint: None 👋🏼🤨
