#OnAuthority by #Engels has long been a touchstone for #Marxist defence of #authoritarianism. I remember reading it for the first time and thinking how much sense it made - of course a revolution is authoritarian.

But I've read #anarchist responses to it, and it feels to me like #libertarian and #authoritarians are speaking past each other, looking at the same examples as proof of both libertarian and authoritarian action.
