If you hold something as true and can't admit yourself to think the inverse of it, you are just obsessed, hunting ghosts. #stirner thoughts. It's fun to try to follow up. Max stirner liked to do this and with enjoyable wit. It's a pity he didn't live long enough to respond to Marx/Engels "German ideology" which was a probably deliberate misunderstanding of Stirners destruction of socialism, capitalism, liberalism, christianity etc ... he stopped nowhere and arrived at the "creative nothing"

#stirner back in the 1840ties talked about "police care", a socially distributed practise for ensuring "non-deviant" behaviour. The hitlerian nazis selected guardians in each neighborhood to report deviant behaviour, triggering special forces to deport neighbors to concentration camps. "See something say something" and similar authoritarian policing slogans carry the same "police care spirit".
How about caring without the policing?
Gives "abolish police" a different more intimate meaning.

"Human nature" arguments against anarchism essentialize humans into robots with cogs. We are not robots. Don't claim you want a state then get mad when the state fucks you over because the "evil human nature" didn't work they way you wanted.
The problem is the system, not human beings. Please stop blaming humans when you force them to act like this.

Almost all human nature arguments can be debunked by pointing out how humans aren't greedy mofos who kill everyone all the time.

Already around 1840 max #stirner realized that national states (no matter if liberal, socialist or conservative) are a secularization of the "one God". Nationalist calls for unity, backsliding of pro-state towards pro-religious bigotry is thus not surprising. Government and God are doppelgaengers of each other. The obsessive idea that there is a higher unity and order, in which, sooner or later, violence is not only acceptable but called for. How to get rid of these collective obsessions?

CW: Egoism. What is an individual?
How do you define an individual?
Are there concrete dividing lines where we can distinguish between influences on the individual and attributes of the individual?
I have recently finished reading Stirner, I first read the Ego and His Own... And then I read The Unique and its Property. I found the latter to be a far more nuanced and elucidating translation.
But throughout both reads, it struck me that how Stirner's viewpoint gets interpreted depends entirely on how we define the individual.
I have been thinking that what makes every individual Unique, is their specific contextual configuration. This would be the traditional view of the autonomous person, and their surrounding environments, and historical and cultural context, and the information network to which they have and are connected.
In this way, the individual is greater than the traditional autonomous person as has been depicted for centuries. The individual is a unique configuration of multiple and changing components, activities, connections, and dependencies.
Viewed in this light, the implications of Stirner's Unique is vastly different from the individualist view that was originally proposed in The Ego and His Own
