    “A Promise.”

    Don’t blink.
    Don’t flinch.
    Don’t you dare look away.

    You wanted a war?

    Here.

Here is the war you started
when you spat on the graves of the disappeared
    and called it tradition.

When you tore names off school rosters
    and laughed.

    When you cuffed children
and marched them out of their futures
    like livestock.

When you built your false god
    from the bones of those
    you deemed unworthy to live.

    You think we forgot?

You think because the photos are in black and white
    the blood dried clean?

You think because the jackboots echo
    through courtrooms now
    instead of streets
    that we won’t hear them?

    We are not your citizens.
    We are not your subjects.
    We are what you get
    when the hunted grow teeth.

    You want purity?
    We bring wickedness.

    You want silence?
    We bring sirens.

    You want obedience?
We bring the ghost of every child
you erased from census and scripture.

    We are Marsha's brick.
    We are Rosa’s refusal.
    We are the last breath
of every queer kid you drove off the edge

    and we are coming back
    with fury in our minds
    and your slogans gutted
    on the floor.

    You want law and order?
    We bring riot.

    You want peace?
Then put down your weapons first,
    your gavel,
    your border,
    your Bible.

    Put down that boot
    you keep calling “protection.”

    But you won’t, will you?

Because you were never protecting anything.
    Only hoarding power.
Only fearing what you couldn’t own.

    We see you.
    Behind every “concerned citizen,”
we see the glint of the old iron cross.
Behind every “think of the children,”
we see the ash of bookfires.
    Behind your flags
    we see the graves.

    And now you see us.

    Not one.
    Not few.
    Not meek.
    But many.
    And furious.

We are the stones you didn’t count.
The ones with nothing left to lose.
    We are the burned,
    the banned,
    the buried

    and we do not forgive.
    We do not forget.

    You want civility?
You dragged us to this altar of cruelty.
    Now watch what we do
    with the matches.

    We will light the sky
with every name you tried to unmake.
    We will flood your monuments
    with memory.
    We will raise the dead,
    in chant, in scream,
in truth tattooed across your headlines.

    You made this fire.
    Now choke on the smoke.

Because this is not a warning.
    It is a promise:

    We will not stop.
    We will not bow.
We will not bury our dead quietly.
We will not let you write the ending.

    We are the ending.

    We are the fire.
    And we are still burning.

  4. CW: CW: misogyny, male behaviour, transphobia

And because I am still upset:

Can we talk about the patriarchal male behaviour on display from the trans-exclusionary gay folks?

Because there is something almost breathtakingly familiar about certain gay men adopting the very hierarchies that patriarchy taught them, then turning around and using them against other queer people.

    The “kiddo.”
    The “child.”
    The “babe.”
The condescending little performance of I am the grown-up man here, and you are the silly little thing who needs educating.

    Oh, please.

Being gay does not magically uninstall patriarchy.

And neither does being gay automatically make someone immune to hypermasculine ideas about dominance, authority, hierarchy and who gets to speak with the voice of unquestionable expertise. To the contrary, some of these men seem to have taken every annoying male habit in the catalogue (talking down to people, asserting dominance, mansplaining, gatekeeping, deciding who counts as “normal,” demanding deference) and thought:

“Well, I’m gay, so apparently this is fine.”

    No, darling. It isn't.

You don't get progressive bonus points for reproducing patriarchal behaviour inside the queer community that you do proudly claim to not even be a part of.

And frankly, watching gay men demand that everyone else recognise their authority while simultaneously telling trans people that we don't belong in queer history is a rather spectacular display of the very hierarchy queer liberation was supposed to challenge.

    I am not your kiddo.
    I am not your child.
And you are not my fucking patriarch.

Take your superiority complex, put it in a little box, and send it back to from whence it came. 💅

  7. CW: CW: transphobia, queer erasure, fascism

Just two examples of what I am dealing with on that other “social” network I sadly need to be a member of.

This is gay people trying to eradicate trans people from queer history — while apparently also appointing themselves the Supreme Court of what “normal-looking” gay men and lesbians are. 🙄

And yes, history has an ugly little lesson here. In the Weimar Republic, there were gay men who were deeply attracted to nationalist and later Nazi ideology, including people who were quite happy to distinguish themselves from the “wrong sort” of queer people. Respectability, conformity and throwing other queer people under the bus did not make them safe. It did not save them.

So when I see queer people trying to scrub trans people out of Stonewall, Pride and the history of our liberation, I pay attention.

Because this isn't merely about the past.

They want to erase us from history because they want to erase us from reality.

And finally, can we talk about the “kiddo”, “child”, “babe” routine?

A grown man disagreeing with a grown person and immediately reaching for infantilising language to establish dominance is not exactly a revolutionary new contribution to human civilisation.

Isn't that just typical fucking male behaviour? 🙃

  12. 💥Announcement Tuesday 28.07.2026💥

    🔥⚧️✊🏾Queer Liberation means Revolution✊🏾⚧️🔥

    Tuesday, 28.07.2026 | 5.00 pm | Linkstreff, Malplaquetstraße 12, 13347 Berlin

    Directions: U6, U9, buses 120, 142, 147, 221, 247, 327 to Leopoldplatz

    📣 Call to action: asanb.noblogs.org/?p=18844 - @revogermany

    #b2807 #QueerLiberation

Come along to the queer film night with REVOLUTION & Friends in Berlin to commemorate together, draw strength and transform our grief and anger into resistance.

We’re watching: *The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson*

The far-right terrorist attack on Berlin Pride has already cost one of our sisters or brothers their life.

Instead of protecting us, we were beaten up by the Berlin police on the very same day because we dared to make our protest political.

The blame for this anti-queer attack lies with this system, which produces this violence and perpetuates our oppression.

As queer people, we have no future in this system.

That’s why we want to come together on Tuesday to draw strength from one another, remember queer struggles, find inspiration for the future, and discuss ways in which we can overcome this violence and fight for our liberation!

Food and drinks will be provided, so do come along and bring your friends!

  17. Happy Pride, you magnificent rabble. 🌈💜

Today the parade rolls through both the cities I call home. And of all the enemies I've managed to survive, bigots, bureaucrats, social expectations, and my own parents, the one thing that nearly keeps me away is... my foot.

A gym injury. Really? That's the villain we went with?

    Never mind.

If I have to hobble, I'll hobble. If I have to limp, I'll limp. You'd have to do a lot more than annoy one rebellious little foot to keep me away from Pride.

After all, society couldn't crush the queer out of me.
My parents couldn't crush the queer out of me.
And our community did the exact opposite: it gave me the courage to become myself.

    Queer.
    Enby.
    Proud.
    Still standing. Mostly.

So if you see someone in platform Mary Janes, rainbow gear, purple socks and stuff, and an expression that says, "Yes, this hurts. No, I'm not leaving," come and say hello.

    Because we are still here.

And we will not go gentle into that good night they want for us.

Happy Pride. Be loud. Be kind. Be gloriously inconvenient. They don't get to write the ending. 🌈✊💜
