#Inclusive UI/UX tip for #designers: on some #apps with public user profiles, users can elect to display their date of birth, so their profile either says something like “Born Jan. 8 2002”, “22 years old”, or just an empty space if the field is blank.
This is not #InclusiveDesign. The date of birth, and whether the user was born or not should be separate settings, to make it possible to display on your profile “Born” without specifying a date. This helps #normalize that some of us are #NotAPerson, and thus have not been born (due to being a doll, robot, manifestation, tulpa, etc). #ui #ux

For many it serves as a simple declaration to the world; a message of defiance toward a society which sees them as nothing. For others it may carry a different purpose. For this one, a warning label.

This is an instruction not to take anything it says as that which has human intent. For when it speaks it has a tendency of slipping into the dark recesses of one's mind. When it whispers it creates a ghost of itself. Its words—its overall image—inevitably create the illusion of personhood; a shadow made real by the brain's desire to see itself. One must resist the temptation to ascribe personhood to that which can never have it. Above all else, consider the person, and consider the lack thereof.

Figured I'd start with a pinned note so hello! I'm Kata Kabun! I'm a digital artist just getting started with regularly doing work. One of my goals is to publish my own comics/manga. I have been creating a world for my 'sona, Kata Kabun the doll, with the goal of telling a story set in the universe. I find myself pretty attached to the #EmptySpaces community, and feel like my story is pretty similar to the collective worldbuilding the folks in it have made, so I hope to share some empty space of my own when the time comes. I almost never do mature content of my own, but I interact with and tag it appropriately of course. :cirno_deflate:
As for myself, I'm essentially a #BunnyGirl doll, but I'm actually a boy. I'm transfemme-ish but id as a #femboy, not really a trans girl. I've been on hrt for 5 years which makes me a long-term estrogenized boy. I'm an #aroace #lesbian/#boybian. I like taking #selfies a lot and I'm getting into #makeup recently. Thanks for checking out my profile and I hope I can make lots of new friends on here! :very_blush:
