A truly European software forge would fully respect the diversity of natural languages. In addition to having a fully localized user interface, it would support automatically translating all user-generated texts, so that people could work in their native or preferred language instead of having to use English.

Does #Babbel (or any other such app for that matter) have any option to allow 2 language trainings in parallel? My long-term, low-intensity learning is one thing, but in the weeks before a vacation, I'd like to ramp up a at least a few basics in the local language _in parallel_.
Having switched back-and-forth in Babbel once, I found large fractions of my progress to be done :-/ But installing a separate app also doesn't seem desirable.

💬 An estimated 40% of children are not accessing education in their mother tongue. And in some countries, the number of learners who aren’t taught in a language they speak and understand exceeds 90%.
Mother tongue education enhances literacy, learning and the acquisition of additional languages, as well as learning outcomes. The advantage that children and adolescents have in reading with understanding if they speak the language of instruction at home increases 5 times between the end of primary and the end of secondary school. In the same line, adolescents speaking the language of instruction are over 40% more likely to be able to read with understanding compared to those who did not.
That’s why must advocate for a multilingual education that opens opportunities for communities and learners, ensuring everyone’s access to education in their mother language while bridging to national and international languages.
