First in a series I like to call How The F Does This Work aka Getting To Know Columba. I have the app installed on a Pixel phone running GrapheneOS. Trying to allow "display over apps" but it won't. Any ideas? #reticulum #rns #meshradio

I'm feeling pretty dissatisfied with the Heltec V4 Expansion Kits I bought. I connected them both to (and configured with) the Sideband app. Set them up so they could also act as Transport Nodes. Power set to 28db. Range is sub-optimal compared to my T-Echoes that are running 22db and get out further (using a Paradar +5db gain antenna on all units). Also not happy that RNS firmware provides no screen whatsoever so everything has to be done through the app. Reading elsewhere online and quite a few people also having this problem. I'm at the point where I may refocus temporarily on moving my efforts to concentrating on RNS over Packet Radio until I have the resources to properly build a localnet of several nodes for LoRa.
