I really like what #phanpy is doing with their client. I mostly use #elk_zone on laptop / tablet, #IceCubesApp for iOS devices, and #megalodonapp for my android devices. I think I'll use phanpy for a few more weeks and see how it goes.

I have said this before and I have to say it again: I'm going to have to stop using #megalodon because of its weird bug of crashing right when I try to accept autofill on hashtags.

I liked it so much that I kept using it for a month or two after the bug started to get annoying, but now it's just killing too many posts.

It is sad because apart from this one bug I think it's the best client.

@gustav @malveus @doktorzjivago @Thomasnilsson Testade senaste versionen av Fedilab. Den var inte särskilt bra på att hämta svar från ursprungsservern. Och ful är den också. Avinstallerade igen. För tillfället verkar nykomlingen @pachli vara bästa Androidappen.

The new Tusky beta seems to be the best Android app for Mastodon at the moment. I can adjust the font size as I like and timestamps can be displayed as absolute time. Also works fine for reading oldest to newest. The way it displays edited posts is very good.
Main feature missing is reverse timeline (oldest posts on the top) but no Android app seems to have it yet.
Hope @megalodon and @trunksapp get these features soon.

I tried out #megalodon / #megalodonapp and you can change the fucking button to say "toot" or whatever you want and it's got all of the features I wanted from a mastodon app and more. hello beautiful

I don't know why, but since upgrading to Android 13 @megalodon has stopped showing any notifications. It's like the app has asked the OS for permission to send notifications, but then hasn't told it which ones. Tried reinstalling, but it didn't fix it.

I know I'm on a custom ROM, but surely that wouldn't make any difference, would it?

Anyone else experiencing this?

I just released a new version of Mastodon Redirect, an app that can act as a deep-link target for most Mastodon/fedi instance domains and redirect the link to a supported Mastodon client.

This version adds a ton of new supported domains, along with a method to enable them all at once. It also has an icon now.

Supported clients are #fedilab, #megalodonapp, #moshidonapp, and #subwaytooter.

I'm finally checking out some third party Mastodon apps on #Android over just using the mobile version of the website. #Megalodon seems really nice so far! The only thing that sticks out negatively is that I can't temporarily mute people.

Sometimes I'll just see a post that makes me think "This isn't the WORST thing, but you need to go to your timeout corner for a bit". lol
