When kolektiva.social was down, Pachli couldn't handle it; I wasn't able to add my beige.party account to it until kolektiva was back up. But now it's added and pretty easy to switch between accounts. There's sometimes a bit of a delay, though.

#Pachli Current now highlights the hashtags you follow. Within a post any hashtags you follow are shown in bold. The info area above a post shows a hash-marker and the first followed tag in the post.
This helps answer the "Why is this post in my timeline?" question.
The attached screenshot shows an example with the #mastodev hashtag.

@blog As a point of order, given the state of the world for many people today, feeling aggrieved, and wanting to be vocal about that is a perfectly rational response. That doesn't make the behaviour toxic, and I think it's risky to conflate them.
That said, clients can (and do) provide additional controls. E.g., #Pachli can hide posts that are the poster boosting their own posts, hide replies, etc. A Fediverse strength is that it's probably easier for clients to innovate in these areas.

Pachli has basically been choking and lagging like mad for the last few weeks in particular. I tried using Tusky, with pretty much the same results. Both of those are on my mobile phone, of course. I haven't had similar problems with any other app on my phone.
The browser on my desktop isn't having that problem.

I cannot add captions to an image any more. Is it me, or is the function broken in the app?Nutzt her jemand pachli?
Ich kann bei einem Bild keinen Beschrieb mehr anfügen. Bin ich da unfähig, oder ist die Funktion momentan defekt? -

Falls du Posts zitieren willst, schau mal nach #Pachli statt Tusky. Das ist ein Fork mit ein paar zusätzlichen Funktionen.

Ah, ya me extrañaba que Tusky no se estuviese adaptando a las nuevas características de los servidores de Mastodon. Parece que uno de sus desarrolladores creo en su momento un fork que sí se actualiza con esas novedades.

#Tusky-Tricks
.. Beschreibung von Medien direkt anzeigen.
Tusky - gilt auch für Verwandte wie etwa #Pachli - zeigt den Beschreibungstext zu Medien direkt in der Zeitleiste an, wenn man z.B. das Bild länger getoucht hält.
Interessanterweise zeigt hierbei die ältere Version Tusky 21 den kompletten Beschreibungstext an, während Tusky 26 diesen kürzt (und leicht anders darstellt).
Toucht man das Bild kurz, landet man im Medienbetrachter. Dort wird im unteren Bereich die Beschreibung angezeigt, die auch vollständig aufgezogen werden kann.
Ebenso finden sich im Medienbetrachter weitere Optionen, etwa zum Teilen oder Herunterladen.

@j12t it doesn't - I looked into making this (render @-mentions as the account's display name) optional in #pachli.
The problem - for Mastodon - is it's not in the API response, so clients would have to make multiple API requests to show this. That slows things down, introduces new failure modes, and adds additional load to the remote server.
Per https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/32880 (/cc @renchap) they seem enthusiastic about reducing the amount of information that's returned even further.

#Pachli tip for those using #ThreeButtonNavigation on #Android:
I found the #ImmersiveMode of the photo viewer kind of annoying, because swiping down to get out of the viewer didn't work when you're zoomed in on an image.
I'd have to tap on the image and hit the back button on the top left, which is inconvenient.
However, I just discovered that if you swipe UP from the very bottom of the screen, the navigation buttons will slide up into view, and you can hit back from there. ;)

Do you write a lot of drafts? Are you juggling and revising multiple scheduled posts? Dealing with lots of clicks in the Pachli UI to manage them?
The latest #Pachli Current (on GitHub now, Google Play soon) allows you to add "Drafts" and "Scheduled posts" to tabs.
Either:
- Open "Account preferences > Tabs", and add them there.

New problem with Mastodon or Pachli: likes and boosts aren't working from the main page a lot of the time.
I can •click• on like or boost on my phone, but like doesn't seem to work most of the time. Or it might show as if it was successful, but goes away if I click to open the post itself.
Why would I click to open the post? Because about 85% of the time •I can't boost unless I open the post•. That's when I discover that the Like I clicked on from the main page magically disappeared.
I literally had EXACTLY that experience again while writing this. Saw a post I liked, so I clicked the star to indicate that I liked it. Then I tried to boost it, but while it acted as if I had clicked on boost it didn't change the color of the boost symbol. So I opened the post by clicking on the text. Sure enough, it was no longer liked nor boosted.
Something is definitely wrong with either Mastodon or Pachli. But I suspect that the problem is more likely to be with Mastodon; either that, or Mastodon has another issue. Because when I post or comment from my browser (Brave on a Windows 11 system), there's a huge lag. My internet connection is perfectly fine, and I'm not seeing this effect with any other website. I just get the rotating blue wheel of Lag for 15 to 20 seconds, if not longer.
I can open up Mastodon in another window, and my post or comment will be there. But it will show as still lagging and not yet posted in the original Mastodon window.
I don't know what the problem is!
