Been experimenting with a way to browse post replies right within the main feed as a threaded view.  You can click on each post or navigate using A or Z to go up and down.

Feedback would be awesome before I get to far down the rabbit hole on making sure it's all wired up.

I just heard from the developer that it is not possible to make FastSM compatible with Windows 7. This leaves TWBlue, unless there is another client I'm missing. I know that TWBlue does have an older version that works with 7, so I'm guessing it's just a matter of updating certain things to give it the features of the latest version. Sadly, as I said in the past, TweeseCake is not open source, so that's not an option. As for why I don't do it myself, I am not a programmer.

Last month I had to uninstall sengi-bin aur package, because it had some dependencies that electron23 required preventing me to upgrade my system, pacman trow the following error message:

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing icu (76.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicui18n.so=75-64' required by electron23
:: installing icu (76.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicuuc.so=75-64' required by electron23
:: installing flac (1.5.0-1) breaks dependency 'libFLAC.so=12-64' required by electron23

Since the only app that required electron23 was sengi-bin I had to remove the only mastodon client that works well on my old system. 🥹

Luckily Sengi is available as an appimage, from now on I'm going to use it this way. 😌😊

Maybe there's some merit to not being able to see the number of boosts and favorites. I started to see it as not really an hindrance or a feature as I take as granted and if it's not there it's a thing I miss so much that I can't be able to use a client that doesn't have it.
I can see not having this feature I taken as a given isn't too much of a big deal to not have it, and it have some advantage not having it. 😄

Which Mastodon client is the most extensible?

Are there any with a full-on plugin architecture with good documentation? Is that question hilarious?

I am a wee bit tired of the randomness of my feed and I want to work on that, but no idea where to get started. I don't want to add a new feature to the server software, I want to work on the front end specifically.
