Is there a mastodon android app that can create hashtag lists? Like user lists but for hashtags.

My use case: I'm following a bunch of adhd related hashtags. Right now I have to check each hashtag individually. I want to create one list that includes multiple hashtags (adhd, adhs, actuallyadhd, etc.) to display them in one timeline.

Been experimenting with a way to browse post replies right within the main feed as a threaded view.  You can click on each post or navigate using A or Z to go up and down.

Feedback would be awesome before I get to far down the rabbit hole on making sure it's all wired up.

I just heard from the developer that it is not possible to make FastSM compatible with Windows 7. This leaves TWBlue, unless there is another client I'm missing. I know that TWBlue does have an older version that works with 7, so I'm guessing it's just a matter of updating certain things to give it the features of the latest version. Sadly, as I said in the past, TweeseCake is not open source, so that's not an option. As for why I don't do it myself, I am not a programmer.

Mastodon web client says I still have 279 chars left, Ivory and Toot! show the same amount. Mona says I have only 2chars left for my reply. Do I miss something?

@sinky And ended up installing IceCube and cancelling the Ivory subscription. IceCube is closer to Mammoth and how I want to approach Mastodon. A «better for me» experience.

Last month I had to uninstall sengi-bin aur package, because it had some dependencies that electron23 required preventing me to upgrade my system, pacman trow the following error message:

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing icu (76.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicui18n.so=75-64' required by electron23
:: installing icu (76.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicuuc.so=75-64' required by electron23
:: installing flac (1.5.0-1) breaks dependency 'libFLAC.so=12-64' required by electron23

Since the only app that required electron23 was sengi-bin I had to remove the only mastodon client that works well on my old system. 🥹

Luckily Sengi is available as an appimage, from now on I'm going to use it this way. 😌😊

Not an endorsement but Openvibe is an #Android app that lets you log into both #Bluesky and #Mastodon at once. I'm currently trying it.

It makes a single timeline for posts at both sites.

I'm not really into its aesthetic choices, but it is functional so far. Haven't figured out cross posting.

Does anyone use Pachli?

I saw it in the app store, and I was surprised because it has multiple indicators that say it can share data with third parties which is unusual for any other app for Mastodon that I have seen.

What's up with that?

I wish #Mastodon clients when replying in thread would place the replied to account name first, then two empty lines, then remaining account names, and position the write cursor on the first empty line. More friendly to recipients.

Every time I try to access unsent posts in #Moshidon it crashes. Is anyone else getting this problem? Megalodon doesn't do this but the UI is slightly different.

Yes, Phanpy offers a convincing Mastodon interface. The developer has really thought about the design issues posed by Mastodon and has resolved them in a fresh way, unhindered by previous designs.

I love the way Boost are separated out from new posts via an orthogonal scrolling wheel --- it lets me have access to those boosts but gives proper emphasis to the original posts of my followed accounts.

Lately I get these error messages a lot more frequently.

Sometimes when I search for a keyword and when I compose a toot with hashtags the autocomplete simply stop working the onlything that happens it gives the following error message:
"http failure response for https://hachyderm.io/api/v2/search/q=sengi7resolve=true: 500 internal server error"

I can't view sometimes my own account and I get the following error message:
"account couldn't be found."

I starting to really like tut or tut-tui a cli mastodon client, I just needed some time to get more used to it. 🥰 I think I was a bit too harsh with the speed of how long it takes to refresh after tooting something, but in reality it not that bad, it takes a bit longer than the other clients that I currently having/using.

Because of once I needed to delete just one notification that broke some of my Mastodon clients a couple of days ago I decided it's worth keeping around one of those Android clients that have this functionality. Just in case I ever need to delete some of my notifications.
I decided to keep Moshidon installed and removed Megalodon, because the two are very similar and I only really need the aforementioned functionality. 😊

A really weird thing happened. :mastodon_oops:
One of the notifications in my Notifications was edited by the OP that is completely empty, probably it was a toot that I boosted previously.
I don't get how this notification totally broke two of my Mastodon clients, Sengi and tut in a totally different but really annoying way.

Today I played with tut a TUI Mastodon client. The documentation of it is really great, it wasn't hard to configure it. I like how feature rich is and have vim like keybindings, I feel at home already using it after just a couple of hours. I still have another client just in case, but I definitely continue to use tut too.

Maybe there's some merit to not being able to see the number of boosts and favorites. I started to see it as not really an hindrance or a feature as I take as granted and if it's not there it's a thing I miss so much that I can't be able to use a client that doesn't have it.
I can see not having this feature I taken as a given isn't too much of a big deal to not have it, and it have some advantage not having it. 😄

Here is a thing I would like for my #MastodonClients and general #Mastodon experience.

In my feed and notifications I would like something to differentiate between people I follow and people I don't. Some checkmark or just a line under people's name. Something similar could be done to indicate if someone follows you. Is this perhaps done in a subtle way I just don't notice?

I am bad at remembering if I follow people or not. I also don't check my followers regularly.

Alright finally settled on the #mastodonclients that have stood the test of usability for me, if anyone is curious, and like me kinda hates that default Mastodon look lol:

@phanpy for an in-browser web client, really great minimalist look that's cleaner than the default.

@megalodon for my Android phone, pink version of the default app with better features what more could I ask for!!

@IceCubesApp for my iPad, best look, cool design, smooth AND awesome functionality.

Yeah, the Phanpy designers really know how to get the main user interface issues right.

The threading support is important.

For me, the way the "carousel" takes boosts out of the main timeline whilst keeping them immediately accessible is ideal, it just feels so natural and gives me a non-obtrusive choice between seeing boosts and ignoring them. So elegant.

I'm still mostly with Semaphore and Fedilab on my Android phone, but Phanpy is just right.

Agree. @phanpy@hachyderm have made an ingenious design choice: restrict the main timeline to show only original posts by my followed accounts, and discreetly bring in boosts via intermittent carousels (that can easily be ignored). It works. It allows me to focus on the main posts whilst still keeping an eye on boosts.

I do like Semaphore and Fedilab as my Mastodon clients on my Android phone, but #Phanpy certainly sits there as a key option alongside these two.
