After 24 years of vegetarianism, I have finally found a #MeatPie #recipe that I can easily make #vegetarian and that tastes exactly like the meat pies I used to get as a kid back in #Australia at local corner shops.
My meat eating Danish family have also finally gotten to taste a true blue, #aussie classic.

At the end of 2021 they dropped one store, then another in 2022 and another in 2023. The writing was on the wall when the renovation of the Mister Donut at Kyoto Station removed the Pie Face kiosk. Now, Pie Face Japan is no more.

Pie! Meat pie.
Thrice cooked beef brisket and mushroom gravy.
We had 9hr slow cooked beef brisket last night, which was touched up in the oven before serving for a crisp outer layer. Anyway, it was huge so I had leftovers and that means pie!
Despite the pastry koalas, no koalas were harmed in the production of this pie.
