Also, I miss #Yakuin station in #Fukuoka. Not a fancy station but it was close to my apartment and convenient. There was also a #MisterDonut, #Doutor, a grocery market, and a bookstore nearby. #福岡 #薬院駅

At the end of 2021 they dropped one store, then another in 2022 and another in 2023. The writing was on the wall when the renovation of the Mister Donut at Kyoto Station removed the Pie Face kiosk. Now, Pie Face Japan is no more.

A word about "Mister Donut"... I love this place. Mister Donut is a chain of donut stores throughout Japan.
It's self serve & has some very good quality donuts. Lots of flaky, cake & mochi donuts... not the greasy, oily, sugar bombs in the more famous donut shops in America.
What's more: They have a cashier with a bill & change acceptor at checkout that makes transactions with cash/change so easy. (Cash still talks loudly in Japan)
