I am glad that MCDM RPG seems to be having a super successful crowdfunding campaign. Probably not my cup of tea, but every individual win is also a win for RPGs as a whole. And I do like that they are specifically trying to build something modern which resonates with people.

But... isn't it a bit weird that the game's description sounds like this is the first time anyone thought of modernising DnD? Are there seriously no other reference points for your game design?

The more I learn about the #MCDMRPG the less I’m interested. As far as I can tell it takes everything I find displeasing about #5E and doubles down on it. Congratulations to them on reaching $1M on the first day. I don’t get it.
