I find myself on the fence about Taliesin Jaffe sometimes. His characters are annoying. Sometimes they're real jerks. He is always speaking obtusely and in symbols that I cannot easily follow. But he does add a lot of life to them and I do enjoy his theatre/gothic energy.

Zuletzt beendetes Buch: Brian K. #Vaughan - Fiona #Staples: "Saga - Volume 1" (Saga 1-6 in einem Band, 2012). Vor "Carnival Row" (2019) konfrontierte "Saga" #Fantasy mit SciFi statt Steampunk. Anlass der Lektüre, war #Saga" im Hintergrund der first ever Episode von #CriticalRole zu sehen. Habe es schon länger, nun auch gelesen. Nicht perfekt aber bewegend mit vielen Anregungen für mich, etwa für die KGA. Alana ist die Hauptfigur, "The Will" ist der beste male Charakter für mich. #graphicnovels

Last night, my party "The Deep 6," currently running Call of the Netherdeep, ventured into the freezing Savalirwood on an intense side quest to hunt down elemental enchants for our Gunslinger's trusty pepperbox. Guided by Keg, the capable tracker we found at the Leaky Tap in Shadycreek Run, we faced a fierce frost salamander. Now we're gathered around a fire, resting, warming our bones, and preparing for what's next.

Got to use my new terrain piece as a underwater ruin in my #Netherdeep game last night.
The party (Deeep 6) joins the rival party (The Tide Breakers) to defeat 3 scuttling serpentmaws in Cael Morrow.
This amounts to 6 pcs and 6 npcs plus enemies in initiative.
And this is why I hardly ever run rivals.

Finished up watching the finale of #CriticalRole campaign 3 and I admit, I teared up a bit. Will be very interesting to see what is in store for #Exandria after this. Personally, I really want to hear more about the Eidolons, that have only been touched on in previous episodes, but I feel like could be something really important to the world.

Hey #TTRPG / #DnD gamemasters and players!
I have a player in our newly started campaign that has only played #TTRPGs couple of times before. I hooked her in with the first session and she's excited to continue, so I'd like to come up with some sort of cool personal storyline for her character to keep her engaged.
So far, she hasn't created any kind of backstory apart for the standard stuff that you get when you create a basic #DungeonsAndDragons character. What we know is she is an Elf Druid who has the "Researcher" background and who loves animals. When chatting about the characters at the beginning of the session, she said that she felt like her character had been sent out to collect information on a certain type of bug.
Can anyone share some inspiration on what her characters personal 'quest / storyline' might be?
We are playing in the #CriticalRole #Exandria setting, if that helps, and her character is from Syngorn.

It's gone well so far but with a teleport to Anker'hel the story gets way more complicated.

Party having a great time riding giant tortoises.
Wizard fails 4 checks and gets bitten.
Tortoise deals 4d6 plus 4 damage on a bite.
Wizard is down!
And that marks the 1st time I almost killed someone in a harmless game at a festival. -
Ran session 1 of Call of the Netherdeep tonight .
Good so far, but...
Matt Mercer dropped the ball on the river race.
Not enough guidance about the rules of the race which degenerated into a free for all with 4 npcs, 2 sharks and 1 actual player In the middle of the river fighting over the spear.
No rules about if other players could help, or shoot the sharks from the dock, so I allowed it.
It worked out in the end, but it was messy. -
Starting Call of the Netherdeep tonight with my Saturday Adventure League group.
Pretty excited!
We have a Bugbear Barbarian, Shadar Kai Wizard, Kenku Sorcerer, Goliath Cleric, Satyr Monk, and a Changling Gunslinger!
Less of an odd group than you'd think being from Xhorhas and Exandria. -
So, my Saturday adventure league group finished their Tales from the Golden Vault book last night.
They were a little too good at heists by the end and just managed to end run around all the bad guys, get the prize and teleport out.
Shorter than expected but a good adventure.
Next week they fight all the enemies they made on their journey.
Riding a Gargantuan Ancient Red Dragon!
In 2 weeks we start Call of the Netherdeep!
And we'll see if I can pull that off. -
