Our new preprint on the deeply conserved structure, and evolution, of insect Gustatory and Odorant receptors. The plethora of chemosensors in insects may be the result of extreme and rapid diversification of a single branch of a diverse superfamily of Eukaryotic (including human!) receptors, dating to at least LECA.
