My wooden #kazoo design:
I’ve used 4mm alder planks, but 3mm plywood or crate wood is fine too.
I’ve noted down the dimensions of mine, but this is just an example.In practice, you simply need to cut out two identical rectangles measuring approximately 30×100mm, drill the holes roughly where they should be but ensure they line up exactly facing each other when finished.
Glue the two edge strips to the base, angling them slightly inwards on one side, then glue the top on. Once dry, trim the rectangles down to the edge strips, this gives you this trapezoid shape.
Sand, oil or varnish.
Cut out two small pieces of cigarette paper for the membrane.
Et voilààà !

Mon plan de #kazoo en bois :
En aulne pour moi mais CP 3mm ou bois de cagette, c'est OK.
J'ai noté les dimensions du mien mais c'était au pif, hein.En pratique, il suffit de découper deux rectangles identiques d'environ 30×100mm, faire les trous à peu près où il faut mais de façon à se trouver exactement en face à la fin.
On colle sur le fond les deux baguettes des bords un peu convergentes d'un côté, on colle le dessus. Quand c'est sec, on réduit les rectangles jusqu'aux baguettes.

En 4 actes :
- Fiston 1 essaie un #kazoo en plastoc dans un "folkshop" 🤦♂️ Logiquent, la dame l'oblige à l'acheter maintenant qu'il a craché dedans.
- Fiston 2 en veut un aussi.
- Je tente le mirliton en tube (photo 1), bon rapport qualité-temps de réalisation (je conseille) (il faut 2 couches de papier-cigarette) mais moins bien que le plastoc.
- Je tente le style kazoo historique mais en bois. Eh bien c'est top de chez top. Il faudrait juste vis et écrou-papillon en laiton et ce serait parfait. -

It's kazoo day! There are six new boxes for the Curatorium (the educational materials didn't combine well!) and a brand new talk featuring #BettyBoop and #RootieKazootie (yes Rootie Kazootie's a thing; the 1950s were weird!).
I keep taking the kazoo seriously and finding interesting things...
