  5. Every third weekend of October Scouts around the world participate in Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) where Scouts can connect with each other over radio and learn about radio communications and technology.

    That weekend Troop 119 was camping in Bolton, MA. I set up a radio station and got some Scouts on the air.

  6. Vandaag tijdens de #JOTA hebben vijf scoutinggroepen, deels met zelfgemaakte antennes, radiocontact gemaakt met Dwingeloo, *via de maan*.
    Onder begeleiding van zendamateurs zonden zij een kort bericht naar de maan, wij ontvingen met de Dwingeloo telescoop de echo (wat zij zelf via onze WebSDR konden zien). Vijf maal succes, en erg blije scouts!
    De scouts kwamen uit Aalst-Waalre (PA80SAW/J), Meerhoven (PA3WWE/J), Heerlen (PD1JHG/J), Waalre (PE2HRM/J) en Uitgeest (PB0MV/J).
