There must be a pipeline from here to Sicily. On the ReverseBeacon network, IT9GSF regularly spots me with a signal-to-noise ratio around 20 dB. #hamradio #amateurradio

Kind of wild that the Amiga folks invented hold-and-modify radio. :P

LICW's field day prep classes start on Monday June 1. These classes are held on Zoom and are free and open to the public. While these classes are focused on practical field day prep for operating in CW, they can also give you insight into what LICW classes are like, if you're curious.
The schedule and info about the classes can be found here:

I need another #Allstar node number, but the info from allstarlink.org isn't clear to my age-addled brain.
I currently have node 65527. I want to build another node that will be radioless using the Allscan audio interface and more or less permanently connected to my current one.
If I understand things correctly, this will convert my current node to 655270 and the new one will be 655271. Is that right? Is there a way to preserve the original node number?

Wow. I just learned via Reddit that there are people in #hamradio who identify themselves as "MARGA" - Make Amateur Radio Great Again. That is abysmal.

All set for a field day, the aim is to test a home-brewed vertical coil (have an EFHW as backup) with the QMX and zbitx v1, test-driving a Gigaparts POTA20 mast, and the portable ESP32 powered HAM Clock I’ve been working on with the local club. In case, all goes well, might attempt a POTA.
