Открыл для себя приложушку CoronaSDR. Без проблем прицепилась на RTL-TCP и можно слушать весь эфир, не ограничиваясь только теми диапазонами, которые выставлены в веб-мордочке того же OpenWebRX. Умеет достаточно мало (AM, FM, WFM, SSB, CW), но и этого достаточно, чтобы себя проверить, когда не дома. Тот случай, когда усложнять - только портить. Автору отдельно большое спасибо!

Lol, ham radio event where we have to hike 3 miles and 1800 feet to where we are stationed, and the guy running it was annoyed we showed up at 7am instead of 8:30am. (Race starts at 9:15).

So... it was "have you ever hiked that trail? It will take us at least an hour to get up there...maybe an hour and a half... the runners will be way past us if we start hiking at 9am!"

After adding four 5.5m radials at 90° to each other flat on the lawn, the “Red 20m quarter wave vertical” from AliExpress gives me a reasonably useful SWR of 1.35:1, Z = 62Ω, at 14.074MHz with the lowest section collapsed and a bit of the next. Manages 18.100MHz too, 1.6:1, Z=37Ω, lowest four sections collapsed.

Actually using it on air is another day’s playtime :)

Another #POTA activation while being in #Eichstätt (Bavaria), DE-0010 (Altmühltal Nature Park). Equipped with my KX2 I could work #SSB only. Condx were not optimal. In between it rained. In the end 11 QSO in the log.
