Mind you, the gents in the explorer sub camp had poo smeared on the ceiling while one Scout complained about someone peeing on the floor, splashing their leg as they were using a cubicle.

It has been 4 days of camp at #Chamboree and we have finally got all of the explorers and #scouts to have a shower. It did involve telling them to go and shower. Yes, some still put the same clothes back on. Smelly gits!

Scouts de México realizarán guardia de 24 horas en el Ángel de la Independencia por su centenario
La Asociación de Scouts de México realizará una guardia solemne de 24 horas en el Ángel de la Independencia, del 15 al 16 de agosto, como parte de las actividades por los 100 años del escultismo en México.

Una guardia solemne de 24 horas reunirá a integrantes de distintas generaciones del movimiento scout en el Ángel de la Independencia, en Paseo de la Reforma, como parte de la conmemoración por los 100 años del Movimiento Scout en México.
La actividad, organizada por la Asociación de Scouts de México, A.C. (ASMAC), está programada para iniciar a las 18:00 horas del sábado 15 de agosto y concluir a la misma hora del domingo 16 de agosto. El acto busca reconocer a quienes han participado durante un siglo en actividades de formación, servicio comunitario y educación de jóvenes.
La conmemoración forma parte del programa del Centenario Scout 2026. La propia organización señala que este año representa los 100 años de presencia del movimiento en México y mantiene una agenda nacional de actividades durante todo el año.
Un siglo de escultismo en México
Durante la guardia participarán integrantes de diferentes generaciones, incluidos lobatos, scouts, caminantes, rovers, scouters, dirigentes, antiguos scouts y representantes de estructuras de grupo, provincia y nacionales, además de invitados especiales.
El acto busca recuperar la memoria de quienes han formado parte del movimiento y reconocer el trabajo realizado en comunidades a través de actividades de servicio, campamentos, formación y participación cívica.
La ASMAC plantea el Centenario como una oportunidad para reconocer la trayectoria del movimiento y proyectar su continuidad. En su información institucional, sostiene que sus actividades se sustentan en valores como el servicio, la honestidad, la lealtad, el respeto, la inclusión y el contacto con la naturaleza.
El Ángel de la Independencia será escenario del homenaje
El Ángel de la Independencia, sobre Paseo de la Reforma, será el punto de reunión para esta actividad conmemorativa.
La agenda oficial de Scouts de México registra para el sábado 15 de agosto de 2026 el evento denominado “Escolta en el Ángel de la Independencia”, dentro del calendario de actividades del Centenario.
La organización también realizó en mayo el Desfile Scout Nacional del Centenario, que reunió a más de 10 mil integrantes del movimiento en Paseo de la Reforma, entre el Hemiciclo a Juárez y el Ángel de la Independencia.
El movimiento llega a 100 años
El Centenario constituye una de las principales actividades nacionales de Scouts de México durante 2026. La organización reporta actualmente más de 40 mil scouts activos y 676 grupos en el país.
Para la asociación, la celebración no se limita a recordar el pasado, sino que busca mantener vigente la formación de jóvenes mediante experiencias de aprendizaje, servicio, liderazgo, trabajo comunitario y actividades al aire libre.
La agenda del centenario continuará durante agosto con actividades como la Guardia o Escolta en el Ángel de la Independencia y la Fiesta del Centenario, programada para el 29 de agosto en la ciudad de México. –sn–

It saddens me as a former scout and current scouting volunteer to have to draw today’s cartoon. I still believe in the value of scouting in a young person’s life. I will remain loyal to true scouting ideals but will also call out the national scouting leadership when they fail to adhere to them.
A scout is brave and the national leaders should live that point of the scout law. -
