Talking about Gleason projects, note that the promotional page for the Fediverse https://jointhefedi.com/ is also done by him. There the top-most server he recommends is “poa.st” which he coins to be “Nerdy, funny, and politically incorrect”.
Actually, poa.st is #fediblock-ed in large parts of the network due to being pretty hate-speech accepting and chan-style edgy (mods are playing with swastika symbolism).

Leading the mass migration of many other prominent git forges, and more everyday, #Codeberg itself abandoned #Gitea and switched to #Forgejo a couple of weeks ago.
We could issue a big press release that #SoapboxPub (Soapbox/Rebased), one of the most popular Fediverse platforms, has moved development to the new, fully free and #FOSS based Forĝejo, a software development platform federating over #ActivityPub in the #Fediverse, supporting the continuing mission of Free Open Source and Privacy respecting social networking technologies for the global community of people everywhere.
On a side note, for about a month straight at the beginning of the #Twitter_egress, I made close to a hundred Twitter posts and Quote Posts there with links promoting #Soapbox Pub, #JoinTheFedi, and #Btrfly - and not a single one was blocked, taken down, or even tagged with warning flags Muahahaha!
Not bad, if I don't say so myself, considering it was a Twitter account I had abandoned, having laid dormant for over ten years.
Seems they were too busy squashing all the #mastobrand bugs.
Oh, there's another new Soapbox #SaaS provider too. More on that later.

Hey FYI, I'm getting a bit of traction in the #Fediverse promoting #Soapbox and I've even been visiting #Twatter a bit, promoting it there too but also links to #JoinTheFedi and https://Btrf.ly too.
I actually think a couple of folks have indicated they've opted for the SaaS offering, which is kewl, they people have a turnkey solution for deploying a Soapbox Fediverse instance.
Oh, one of those posts I've just boosted includes a question about where the user can find their Admin section, in addition to config.
@graf @pasture you might want to add the URL for customers to reach their admin section into your knowledgebase area as well (i.e., hostname.tld/pleroma/admin/) as I had to tell a couple of folks that either subscribed with you or self-hosted a Soapbox/Rebased instance for themselves.
Anyway, there needs to be more active marketing and promotion of these Soapbox related links posted into Twatter space because msdtodon is but one Fediverse server solution, and people have even asked need for Fediverse solutions for writers and journalists too, so Soapbox, #Friendica, #Mitra, and Write.As are the most viable platforms for these folks, msdtodon not even coming close to meeting the requirements necessary for professional writers.

Here's part of an amusing little exchange initiated by one of those very same censorship advocate types that you referenced.
While I was offering some folks a just of Fediverse resources instead if the same old "mastodon network" links that don't even mention the #Fediverse, A couple of these punk assed bitches took it upon themselves to jump into the thread and commence with denigrating the #JoinTheFedi link I suggested to people.
Well, as usual, those cowardly sissies just can't discuss or defend their misguided indoctrination with any modicum of coherent civil discourse.
I thought I'd leave this breadcrumb link for those who wish to follow and maybe, for a quick chuckle.
