  1. 🦑 Today’s poetry contest was to write a #limerick about our favourite animal and explain why in the author's notes.

I hope you enjoy my #poem about my beloved #MarineLife. Hopefully, my passionate 🧪 #Science facts will excite you, too!

  2. One more client I am slowly converting to have a love of maths. So proud of themselves for seeing and working out the pattern.

  3. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover this wonderful app.

For myself and many of my students who are #ActuallyAutistic #AuDHD this is a god send.

Yes it is AI so it is not perfect, e.g. the estimator function.

Wonderful #universal tool for #chunking especially for teachers/educators with little experience in this.

  7. I've always encouraged my students to express their #emotions openly.

Emotions are involved in our moral decisions. Our brains are, in fact, hardwired for #morality.

Neuroscience research has shown that ancient synapses within the brain light up intuitively when we make moral decisions.

  8. Unfortunately I only finished 3rd in Obsidian league to reach Diamond league on DuoLingo.

However as I always tell my students “Progress trumps Perfection”…

I know hilarious coming from #ActuallyAutistic #AuDHD me.

  9. A student learnt today one question not to ask me is “Is it accurate?”

    It depends.

Who measured it? How did they measure it? Why did they measure it? Should they have measured it? What is it being measured against and repeat previous questions.

Are we talking precision, accuracy, both? What units are you using? How many significant figures? How much error are we allowing?

The list goes on and on and on…

  14. I have often found myself repeating this advice, particularly to my older clients over the years, regarding the importance of 1) keeping handwritten notes and 2) keeping a record or journal for when they learn a new concept or formula.

Openly admit there is probably some confirmation bias involved, but I was very happy to come across this paper by Van Der Weel et al. in Frontiers in Psychology

  16. STEM RPG today resulted in a 10yr old saying that spaghettification should be renamed to "snekification"

Yes - we went into a blackhole.

Role playing math in small groups with inventions is often requested. This is a teen group.

The polyhedrons of probability rolled in participants' favor today.
