For last week's #CreativeCoding challenge topic of psychedelic, I took the Bezier shape triangle from my last #OpticalIllusion post and made it into a spiral configuration, with some trippy cascading motion. I sped it up for the video here, but you can control the speed to play it as slow as you want in this sketch (the full resolution and framerate and uncompressed will look a lot better of course):

Absolutely love this #p5js sketch, "Concrete Memories", by Rubén Medellín <chubas> for the #WCCChallenge topic "Construction".

I made a follow-up to this piece in April of last year for the #WCCChallenge, for the topic of "filter". I switched from cubes to ellipses that have random jitter on their position and orientation. You can interact with it to filter out high and/or low layers to show just one layer or any set of adjacent layers, to pick out the exact configuration you like out of the many possibilities for that seed. Try it out yourself here:

This week's #WCCChallenge theme is "almost." Nothing technically complex going on here, just a bunch of keyframes I typed in to animate this cat in #p5v2 https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2832077

This week's #WCCChallenge theme is "mapping", so here's a little animated version of one of those planet cross section visualizations. https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2776397 #p5v2

#Genuary6 prompt: Make a landscape using only primitive shapes.
https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2501885I was inspired by @ronikaufman's sketch to try sampling pixels from a landscape/skyscape photograph, something I had been wanting to do for a while. It turned out well, and it has given me some ideas for other experiments in this vein. This one has an animation mode, to meet the #WCCChallenge topic of "wind".

The prompt this week for #wccchallenge was nodes.
I went with the nodes on horsetail - a relative of the fern - Ancient Grass
No comments - just stream of conscious code until it worked.
