Well I am really enjoying working on my bonkwave tune. I have earwormed myself with it for like three days straight and i don't even mind (yet)!
Whether anyone else will like it is anyone's guess but such are the vagaries of the bonk.

Right I decided to do the bonkwave sample challenge & think I might have something.
So reckon I can submit to the next bonkwave comp after missing a couple.

This is where I make #BonkWave and #NotBonkWave and also #HonkWave - on the display is #BitwigStudio and #VCVRack is open and showing a most excellent #Benjolin patch. This is being controlled and performed via a BCF2000 MIDI Fader Control. Sharp eyed observers may also notice that there is a French Horn track in Bitwig.
I like to perform a texture bed of sound with the Benjolin and then improvise horn lines over the top. Sometimes percussion finds its way for a time and then is removed. Or not.
Down below and in front of my keyboard is a home-made alternative ergonomic device which I call the "Wristiplinarian" - an alternating row of 25 1-inch chrome spikes affixed to a strip of black leather that I made around 27 years ago and have had at my keyboard ever since. It works a treat for keeping your wrists up and fingers depending gracefully over the keys (my #carpal #RSI has been pretty much gone the entire time it has been there).

@keefmarshall @55aw this is how I find myself feeling when I review my #HonkWave thesis. Is it really a proper taxonomy of the Bonkological structure, or is it fundamentally all likely to be #BonkWave or #NotBonkWave ?

[Edited - final mix version] Pre-dawn #FrenchHorn #Tuba (#SWAM #VSTs ) & #Synth #Nocturne with #VCVRack #BlippoBox and environment textures. #Dark and #Cinematic with a touch #Bombastic - probably #NotBonkWave but is certainly #HonkWave - here is something new from me. #ElectronicMusic made with #BitwigStudio in my bedroom studio.

Made a quick improvised #music composition for #FrenchHorn and #BlippooBox (in #VCVRack ) - some #NotBonkWave - or is it #BonkWave ? Certainly could be #HonkWave all made in #Bitwig - don't play too loud, the horn comes in pretty solidly.

@welshpixie - It's finished. Thank you for the inspiration. It's #BonkWave - or #HonkWave - whatever it is it's #ElectronicMusic made with #VCVRack #BlippooBox #SwamHorns and #AccessVirusB (Viper VST) in #Bitwig The drums and Blippoo Box are all donked with my #ShermanikFilterbank preset.

The short-term solution is to ditch my #AudioInterface and use the $6 headphone extender cable that I bought today to connect my monitors to the motherboard sound out connector and go completely "in the box" for the time being and see if I miss anything. It gets me back to making #ElectronicMusic immediately and removing the failed PCI board appears to have made my PC more stable.
The #BonkWave and #NotBonkWave (and sometimes #HonkWave ) must flow.

I was up at 4am. It was a good time to play with my #ShermanFilterbank - a much under used piece of outboard #fx gear. #modular for the #MIDI #CV control and audio routing from #Bitwig (#HWFXDevice ) and is it ever delightfully weird. There are sweet spots and nasty growls to be discovered. #BonkWave #SquonkWave or #HonkWave ? #ElectronicMusic #AmbientSpace
