Prompted by the 8 year Hitman ™ anniversary I wondered if hitman still uses the level/world metadata "database" we called the repository I helped to build when I was there.
The repository is filled with metadata about all NPCs in all Levels, all outfits, all items and links to UI images for them.
And yes! Hitman 3 still uses the "repository"!

People really be sleeping on #PlayStation #RemotePlay. I've been playing #HITMAN3 over the New Year's holiday using Remote Play on my #PS4 to my #PS5. It's not an action-packed #videogame, so it works super well. I don't feel any lag at all, and any loss of image I chalk up to my TV having trash HDR.

another thing i don't like about #Hitman / #Hitman3 is that IOI delisted Hitman 1 / 2 and now the only way to get them is by purchasing Hitman 3 and then buying the DLC for the game you want (which also has its OWN SEPARATE GOTY DLC??). predatory pricing scheme AND previous owners don't get the DLC for free, you have to repurchase it.
it's REALLY fun, though. i wish it weren't so modern gaming™
