  1. We're caring for 315 #animals that were removed from a #Hadley property where they were allegedly living without adequate access to food, water, and shelter amid freezing temperatures. The group includes farm animals, #birds, #rabbits, and wildlife. Their removal was a huge, hours-long effort involving dozens of MSPCA-Angell staff and support from Hadley Police Department.

Happy New Year from One True Podcast! We look forward to a rich, exciting 2026 by looking back to 1926.

In our first show of the year, we ask an esteemed guest to take us back exactly one hundred years to see what was happening in Hemingway’s life, work, and world. So, to guide us through Hemingway’s 1926 — his travels, his relationships, his publishing, and his writing – we welcome the great Hemingway scholar Ross K. Tangedal.

For Hemingway, 1926 was a colossally important year that saw his transition from Hadley to his second wife, Pauline; the transition from Boni & Liveright to Scribner’s; and the publication of The Torrents of Spring and The Sun Also Rises, both crucially important for different reasons. Tangedal guides us through this remarkable year in Hemingway’s life and his writing. We have previously begun calendar years with flashback episodes featuring: Mary Dearborn on 1922; James M. Hutchisson on 1923; Verna Kale on 1924; and J. Gerald Kennedy on 1925. We encourage you to check out those past shows to get up to date!

  7. She showed up in my front yard under a bush. She was little. I put out a bowl of kibble cat food and looked out fifteen minutes later. The food was eaten. She was starving and pregnant. I took her in, and she has never wanted to return to the outside, not even when I was on my patio. She loves me so much, and the feeling is mutual. She is now sweet sixteen. #Caturday #hadley #animal #feline #nature #cat #rescue #cats #tabby #love #mastodon #muse #pets #beauty

Pár čínských zrcadel za $30, tři hliníkové trubky, nějaké šroubky a pružinky, PLA struna do 3D tiskárny. A to je celé.

  9. I just drove past Hadley Green and had to take a long detour as there were multiple roads closed and fire engines present. Does anyone know what's happened?

Update: apparently a millionaire's mansion under refurbishment went up in flames last night: standard.co.uk/news/london/bar

  17. I had managed to build my #Hadley telescope, but hadn't had the chance to try to focus it on anything other than a few trees nearby. Then there's just been too many cloudy nights. Tonight the moon was shining our between gaps in the cloud, so I took the opportunity to focus it on the moon. I tried capturing a picture with my phone.

  19. Listen to this with headphones, if you want to hear how the #seleste glasses sound. It’s not edited at all, just under 10 minutes. Great plug for. #hadley in advertently at the end.

  20. Interesting "Health advisory issued for people who may be traveling to EEE affected areas." in #Hadley #MA (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) #encephalitis #outbreak nixle.com/EQMN9

  21. @TanAn

The paper concludes "We predict with high confidence the tipping to happen as soon as mid-century (2025–2095 is a 95% confidence range)." They calculated a mean time of 2050 by one method and 2057 by another.
