Gave a new talk yesterday in which I tried out an idea: it’s great that we have the Psych Science Accelerator now, but we also need the Psych Science Garage, to do repair and maintenance of published findings that need an oil change or new transmission.
Tools could include: replications, reproducibility tests, statcheck/GRIM/etc., p-curve & other bias tests, transparency checks, generalizability tests, robustness tests, qualitative evaluations (post pub peer review), and more.
