First they lock me out of my 11 year old account, where I had posted a ton of my political cartoons. Support didn't help at all. That's how I got here.

Now I can't even see content at all unless I log on, which I can't, and frankly won't. They're sure as hell not getting my phone number.

I knew the #censorship and #surveillance was just going to keep getting worse, but it still pisses me off. Anything I bookmarked is now useless. Lame.

My new favourite app on my phone: CleanLinks

You can paste in a link, scan a QR code, or "share" a link from an app and it'll remove all the the tracking parameters.

It'll also resolve redirects to show you the final URL, also cleaned. The latter is especially useful for apps like Reddit that generate tracking URLs without query params. #fuckspez

Although I deleted my #reddit account (because #fuckspez) I do visit daily on a habitual basis and I’ve noticed the quality of front page posts is a lot worse. Lots of content from weird subs like doordash and a lot more attention bait subs like twohottakes, ani ugly and truerateme.

They don’t know it yet but Reddit lost. The good content is gone and many of the knowledgable people are no longer posting.

Later today, after I eventually crash out and sleep will be creating more #candles, and crocheting some dish cloths.

I was a mod of a fairly popular reddit for over a year, but once they started all their bullshit about killing 3rd party apps, and disrespecting the unpaid work of their mods, I stopped modding. I was still ostensibly a mod, even though I haven't done anything other than lurk in modmail for the last month. But just now, I clicked the "leave" button, and am now officially no longer a mod. Fuck u/spez.
